Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes First Player to Score 100 Club Goals in Three Different Countries
Cristiano Ronaldo's 100th goal for Juventus in all competitions kept his side's hopes alive of a top-four Serie A finish after a 3-1 win at an impressive Sassuolo. The result was not easy to come by for Juventus, with returning goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon saving an early penalty, but goals from Adrien Rabiot, Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala meant they stayed fifth, two points off the Champions League qualification places.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese footballer also became the first player in history to score 100-plus club goals in three countries. Ronaldo also has netted 103 times for Portugal.
Saina, Srikanth Chances of Qualifying End with Singapore Open Cancelled
The dream of Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics ended with the cancellation of the $320,000 Singapore Open badminton tournament.
The June 1-6 event was the final qualification event for Tokyo and its cancellation ended the hopes of those players who had hoped to squeeze through from the Super 500 tournament.

Arzan Nagwaswalla: 1st Parsi on Indian Cricket Team Since 1975
Arzan Nagwaswalla, a 23-year-old left-arm seamer from Gujarat, has been picked as a reserve player in the Indian Test squad named for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton. Arzan Rohinton Nagwaswalla, hailing from a Parsi community in a village near the Maharashtra border, is the first Parsi cricketer to break into the national team since 1975 and the only active Parsi cricketer.
Farokh Engineer played his final Test for India in 1975, while Diana Edulji's last game in the women's team came in July 1993. The youngest member of a Parsi community from the village of Nargol, Nagwaswalla is the first Parsi cricketer to break into the Indian men's team since 1975.
Babar Azam Becomes First Pakistan Captain to Win His Opening Four Tests
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulated the Pakistan men's cricket team on their sixth consecutive series win and Babar Azam, who has become the first Pakistan captain to win his opening four Tests.
Pakistan defeated South Africa in Tests and T20Is at home earlier this year and then won the T20I and ODI series in the return series before wrapping up the African safari with T20I and Test series wins against Zimbabwe in Harare.
This is the sixth time when Pakistan has won six or more series on the trot. Pakistan won 13 straight series in 2011-12, nine consecutive series in 2015-16, eight successive series in 2001-02 and six straight series in 1993-94 and 2017-18.

Aryna Sabalenka Wins her Maiden Madrid Open Women's Singles Title
In tennis, the world number seven, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, defeated world number one Ashleigh Barty of Australia to win the 2021 Madrid Open women's singles title. This Sabalenka's 10th career WTA singles title, second WTA title of the season and first on clay court. Madrid Open is a professional WTA tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. Sabalenka beat Australian player Barty with 6-0, 3-6, 6-4.
In the women's doubles final, Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova, from the Czech Republic, defeated Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Demi Schuurs of France 6-4, 6-3.
Lewis Hamilton Clinches his Fifth Successive Spanish Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes-Great Britain) won the 2021 Spanish Grand Prix, held on 09 May 2021.
This win is the fifth successive Spanish Grand Prix title of Lewis Hamilton and the third win of this season. Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing-Netherlands) came second followed by Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes-Finland) at third position.
The race was the fourth round of the 2021 Formula One World Championship.
Naomi Osaka Wins Top Title at 2021 Laureus World Sports Awards
World number two tennis player Naomi Osaka of Japan has been named "Sportswoman of the Year" at the 2021 Laureus World Sports Awards. This is Osaka's second Laureus Sports Awards. In 2019, she won the "Breakthrough of the Year" award.
In the men's category, World number two Rafael Nadal of Spain won the 2021 "Laureus Sportsman of the Year" title. This is the second title for Nadal, who also claimed the prestigious award in 2011.

Bayern Munich Win Record-extending 9th Straight Bundesliga Title
Bayern Munich was crowned as the Bundesliga champions for the ongoing 2020-21 season.
As a result, Bayern Munich has won the title for the ninth successive season and with this, coach Hansi Flick will bow out with another title under his kitty.
Flick has already stepped down as the coach of Bayern Munich and he will be replaced by Julian Nagelsmann.
Bayern Munich currently has 71 points from 31 games and the side has suffered just four losses in the ongoing season.
Out of the 31 games played, Bayern has so far managed to win 22 and five matches ended as a draw.

Indian Rowing Team Qualifies for Olympics
Indian rowers Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh qualified for the Olympics in men's lightweight double sculls event after finishing second in the final race of the Asia/Oceania Continental Qualifying Regatta in Tokyo.
Another Indian, Jakar Khan finished fourth in the men's singles sculls final which offers five Olympic quotas but he missed out as a country gets only one qualifying spot from this regatta.
The top three qualify for Olympics in men's lightweight double sculls event.
A country can qualify in only one boat from this regatta and since Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh had finished second in men's lightweight double sculls, they will qualify," Rowing Federation of India president Rajlaxmi Singh Deo said.
Sumit Malik Earns Olympic Quota in Men's Freestyle Wrestling
India's Sumit Malik has won the Olympic quota place in the men's 125 kg freestyle wrestling event by reaching the final of the World Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament.
Malik beat Jose Daniel Diaz of Venezuela 5-0 to set up the title clash with Russia's Sergei Kozyrev.
Finalists in each of the weight categories in this tournament are eligible to win a quota place for the Tokyo Olympics.
In his first qualification round, Malik beat Aiaal Lazarev of Kyrgyzstan 2-2 while in his second round he defeated Alexandr Romanov of Moldovan 2-2. In the quarterfinals, he outclassed Rustam Iskandari of Tajikistan 19-5.
Malik is the fourth Indian freestyle wrestler to have won the Olympic quota place in the men's category.
