World Children's Day is observed annually on November 20 to commemorate the day of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly on the same day in 1959. The day is celebrated globally to promote the rights of children besides improving their standard of living. It also promotes international togetherness and raises awareness among children to improve their welfare.
Though Children's Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries, International Children's Day is a global observance that is marked on November 20.

International Men's Day
November 19 is International Men's Day (IMD).
The day honours the positive contributions that men make to the world, their households, and their societies. The day also promotes positive role models and spreads awareness about men's wellness.
Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh established IMD in 1999. He taught history at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. In honour of his father's birthday, Teelucksingh chose November 19. He encouraged people to use this day to convey issues that affect boys and men.
There are six pillars of International Men's Day, and one of them focuses on improving gender relations and promoting gender equality for men and women alike. "Better relations between men and women" is the theme for International Men's Day 2021.
National Integration Day
National Integration Day is a day for promoting peace, unity, and integration between all of the different segments of society living in India. Indira Gandhi's birthday was chosen as a day to celebrate as she is seen as somebody who embodies the good intentions of the holiday.
Gandhi became India's first female Prime Minister in 1966 and stayed in the role for 11 years. She played a major role in strengthening democratic structure and tradition in the country. She won the war with Pakistan in 1971 and signed a subsequent peace treaty.
After losing her battle for reelection in 1977 she was ousted from her role as Prime Minister, only to be voted back in again in 1980. Gandhi was assassinated in 1984 by two of her own bodyguards at her home in New Delhi.
National Integration Day was created in her honor as a way to encourage all Indians to integrate, regardless of race or religion.

Naturopathy Day
The National Naturopathy Day is observed in India on November 18 every year, to promote positive mental and physical health through drugless system of medicine, called as Naturopathy.
The day was declared by the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India, on November 18, 2018.
It was on this day in 1945, when Mahatma Gandhi became life time Chairman of the All India Nature Cure Foundation Trust and signed the deed with the object of making the benefits of Nature Cure available to all classes of people.
21st Indian Ocean Rim Association Annual Council of Ministers' Meeting Held in Dhaka
India virtually participated in the 21st Annual Council of Ministers (COM) meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) led by Minister of State External Affairs (MoS), Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh. The IORA COM was held in a hybrid format in Dhaka and Dhaka Communique was adopted at the end of the meeting.
MoS, in his remarks, reaffirmed India's strong commitment to strengthening IORA, the largest and pre-eminent organization in the Indian Ocean Region, to promote peace, security and prosperity in the region as well as in the wider Indo-Pacific.
MoS congratulated Bangladesh for assuming the Chairship of IORA. He welcomed the Russian Federation as the new Dialogue Partner of IORA. He also congratulated Ambassador Salman Al-Farisi for being selected as the next Secretary-General (SG) of IORA and expressed hope that a full time SG would help impart fresh energy and vision to the organization.
World Philosophy Day
World Philosophy Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of November each year. In 2021, the day fell on 18 November. World Philosophy Day 2021 opens the discussion on the different interactions of human beings with their social, cultural, geographical and political environment, with the underlying objective of better understanding the contribution of philosophy in our contemporary societies and the challenges they face, pandemic in particular.
World Philosophy Day was introduced in 2002 by UNESCO. In 2005 the UNESCO General Conference proclaimed that World Philosophy Day would be celebrated every third Thursday of November.

International Students Day
International Students' Day is an international observance of the student community, held annually on November 17. Originally commemorating the Czech universities which were stormed by Nazis in 1939 and the students who were subsequently killed and sent to concentration camps, it is now marked by a number of universities, sometimes on a day other than November 17, as a nonpolitical celebration of the multiculturalism of their international students.
National Epilepsy Day
November 17 is observed as National Epilepsy Day in India. The day aims at spreading awareness about the disease. Epilepsy is a medical condition where brain suffers from untimely seizures and fits.
As described by WHO, Epilepsy is a "chronic non-communicable disease of the brain which is characterized by recurrent seizures".
On this special day at various places seminars and stage events are organized to make people aware of the disease and its treatment. Several hospitals with the support of the Epilepsy Foundation of India organize camps for free consultation, detection, and treatment of the disease.

National Press Day
National Press Day is observed on November 16, every year to honour and acknowledge the establishment of the Press Council of India (PCI) in 1966.
This was the day on which the Press Council of India started functioning as a moral watchdog to ensure that the press maintains the high standards expected from this powerful medium.
In 1956, the First Press Commission planned to form a Press Council to protect freedom of the press in India. On 4 July 1966, the Press Council was established in India. It came into effect from November 16, 1966. Therefore, November 16 is celebrated as National Press Day every year.
It is the self-regulatory watchdog of the press, for the press and by the press that operates under the Press Council Act of 1978. The Council has a chairman – traditionally, a retired Supreme Court judge, and 28 additional members of which 20 are members of media, nominated by the newspapers, television channels and other media outlets operating in India. In the 28 member council, 5 are members of the Lower House (Lok Sabha) and Upper House (Rajya Sabha) of the Indian parliament and three represent culture literary and legal field as nominees of Sahitya Academy, University Grant Commission and Bar Council of India.
International Day for Tolerance
November 16 commemorates the International Day of Tolerance, every year. This is a UN declared day that aims at creating public awareness on the dangers of intolerance. What propelled the idea was the increasing need to ensure people are aware of the negativity that stems from intolerance. As a result, the UN General Assembly in order to promote tolerance as a staple of society amid general public and educational institutions came up with this.
In 1995, the UN had declared a Year for Tolerance. The Declaration of Principles on Tolerance was formulated the same year by UNESCO on November 16. The UN decided to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's 125th birth anniversary that year by kickstarting the commemoration of International Tolerance Day in 1995.
First Audit Diwas
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, addressed the event of first Audit Diwas on November 16, 2021.
The event was held at CAG office premises.
On the occasion, PM also unveiled the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
First edition of the Audit Diwas was celebrated to mark the historic origins of the institution of CAG and the contribution made by it to the governance, transparency and accountability.
CAG is the Constitutional Authority in India. It was established in accordance with Article 148 of the Constitution of India. CAG is empowered to Audit all receipts and expenditure of the central as well as state governments. The CAG is the statutory auditor of Government-owned corporations. It conducts supplementary audit of government companies, where Government is having an equity share of 51 per cent.
