The country's biggest ever Quiz Contest, Sabka Vikas Maha Quiz was launched. It aims to build awareness amongst citizens about the Government's various schemes and good governance. The first quiz is on Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. The scheme is a pro-poor scheme intended to reduce the challenges encountered by the poor because of disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Sabka Vikas MahaQuiz series" aims to sensitise the participants about the various government schemes and initiatives. The government has been working to ensure basic necessities to all citizens of the country through various programmes and schemes for the holistic welfare of all citizens, especially the poor and marginalised sections of society.

Centre to Continue Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) till March 2026
The Union Cabinet approved a financial outlay of Rs. 5,911 crore for the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) aimed at helping 2.78 lakh rural local bodies achieve sustainable development goals.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave its assent for the continuation of the centrally sponsored scheme from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2026 in an effort to boost the governance capabilities of Panchayati Raj institutions (PRIs).
Of the total outlay of Rs. 5,911 crore, the Centre's share is Rs. 3,700 crore and that of states is Rs. 2,211 crore.
The scheme was first approved by the Cabinet in 2018 for implementation from 2018-19 to 2021-22.

AVSAR- 'Connect to Opportunities Initiative' in J&K
The AVSAR- 'Connect to Opportunities Initiative' was launched by Jammu & Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. It is a dedicated portal that would be used to connect job aspirants of the Union Territory with the industry.
This initiative was launched under Mission Youth. This newly launched initiative has the aim of creating more than 10,000 job opportunities for the aspirants of the UT in 2022. This initiative has been provisioned so that the youth of the UT can be facilitated with real-time information informing the aspirants about job opportunities and pre-placement activities.
The administration of Jammu & Kashmir took various steps to create schemes, infrastructure, and policies to speed up the economic development in the region and to help the youth so that they can achieve self-growth and contribute to society.

Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry Launches 'SVANidhi se Samriddhi'
Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry launched 'SVANidhi se Samriddhi' program in additional 126 cities across 14 States and Union Territories. With the expansion of scheme, 28 lakh street vendors and their families will be benefited. SVANidhi se Samriddhi, an additional program of PM-SVANidhi was launched in January 2022 in 125 cities in Phase one, covering approximately 35 lakh street vendors and their families.
Considering the success of Phase one, the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has launched the program in additional cities with a total target of 20 lakh scheme sanctions for this fiscal year. The Ministry has been implementing Prime Minister Street Vendors AtmaNirbhar Nidhi scheme since June 2020.

The government said that around 2 lakh 71 thousand persons would be trained over five years under Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi, PM-DAKSH Yojana. The scheme aims to increase the skill levels of the target youth by providing for long-term and short-term skills, followed by settlement in employment and self-employment.
In 2020-21, the existing scheme of Assistance for Skill Development of Other Backward Classes, Economically Backward Classes was modified as a Central Sector Scheme with the inclusion of Scheduled Castes and Sanitation workers and was renamed as PM- DAKSH Yojana.
Nearly 74 thousand persons have been trained and more than 17 thousand got placement in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Under the scheme, free-of-cost training will be provided by the government for the trainees.
Adityanath Govt. Mulling 'One District, One Sport' Scheme Now in UP
After the stupendous success of the 'One District One Product' (ODOP) scheme, the Yogi Adityanath government is now planning to start a 'One District One Sport' scheme that will promote sports. According to official sources, the sports department has been asked to prepare a blueprint for the scheme and identify popular sports for each district.
The Chief Minister wants indigenous sports to be promoted through this new scheme. Water sports would be an integral part of the scheme for districts that are situated on the banks of major rivers. The idea is to encourage the youth to take to sports and also hone their skills.
