The Ministry of Minority Affairs announced that "Muslim Women Rights Day" will be observed across the country on August 1. It will celebrate the second anniversary of the enactment of the law against triple talaq.
The practice of granting instant divorce was classified as a criminal offence through a law enforced by the government on August 1, 2019. Though the Centre faced issues in clearing the bill through the Rajya Sabha, it finally succeeded in achieving the goal on July 31, 2019.
Naqvi, along with Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav attended a programme in New Delhi to observe the "Muslim Women Rights Day".
The 2017 bill was passed by the Lok Sabha on 27 December 2018. However, in the Rajya Sabha the opposition demanded it to be sent to the Standing Committee. As the bill stood not passed in the parliamentary session, an ordinance which had made the bill operative, expired on 22 January 2019. The government re-promulgated an identical bill on 10 January 2019. This bill was passed in the Lok Sabha but was again stalled in the Rajya Sabha. The bill lapsed again when the Parliamentary session adjourned sine die in April 2019.
The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Ordinance, 2019 was to expire on 29 August 2019, six weeks after start of parliamentary session, post the 2019 Indian general elections. The government introduced a new bill in the Lok Sabha on 21 June 2019. It was passed by the Lok Sabha on 25 July 2019 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 July 2019. The bill was assented to by the President, Ram Nath Kovind, on 31 July 2019. It was subsequently notified in the gazette on the same day. The act is retrospectively effective from 19 September 2018.

World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is marked every year on July 30 to create awareness around people who are being trafficked and are taken away against their will. It helps to educate others that trafficking in persons is a crime exploiting even women and children for tragic jobs like forced labour and sex. This day gives an opportunity to understand the harms of human trafficking and its impact on the life of the people.
This day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly as a means to combat the issues that are caused due to human trafficking. The day was declared with the aim of raising awareness around the victims of human trafficking. It also helps raise funds for those victims.
The theme for this year for the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is 'Victims' voices lead the way.'
System Administrator Appreciation Day
System Administrator Appreciation Day, also known as Sysadmin Day, SysAdminDay, is an annual event created by system administrator Ted Kekatos. The event exists to show appreciation for the work of sysadmins and other IT workers. It is celebrated on the last Friday in July.
The first System Administrator Appreciation Day was celebrated on July 28, 2000. Kekatos was inspired to create the special day by a Hewlett-Packard magazine advertisement in which a system administrator is presented with flowers and fruit-baskets by grateful co-workers as thanks for installing new printers. Kekatos had just installed several of the same model printers at his workplace.

World Hepatitis Day

CRPF Observes 83rd Raising Day
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), observed its 83rd Raising Day on 27 July 2021. CRPF is India's largest Central Armed Police Force, under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Its headquarters are located in New Delhi. It came into existence as the Crown Representative's Police on 27 July 1939. After Indian Independence, it became the Central Reserve Police Force on the enactment of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.
