Pakistan handed over three domestically-made JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, manufactured in collaboration with China, to the Nigerian Air Force.
The fighter aircraft manufactured by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex were inducted at a ceremony held at the Nigerian Air Force base in Makurdi, Nigeria, to mark the 57th anniversary of the country's air force.
JF-17 Thunder is a light weight, multi-role fighter aircraft. China has developed the technology for the jet.

INS Rajput, Indian Navy's First Destroyer, to be Decommissioned
After 41 years of glorious service, the first destroyer of the Indian Navy, INS Rajput, was decommissioned. The Kashin-class destroyer, built by the erstwhile USSR, was commissioned on May 4, 1980.
INS Rajput was decommissioned at a solemn ceremony at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. In her glorious 41 years, the ship had 31 Commanding Officers at her helm.
The Indin Naval Ship participated in several key missions in the last four decades, including operation Aman off Sri Lanka that was launched to assist the Indian Peace Keeping Forces (IPKF) and Operation Cactus to resolve a hostage situation off the Maldives.
India and Oman Renew Mous on Military Cooperation, Maritime Issues
India and Oman renewed two agreements on military cooperation and maritime issues.
The agreements will ensure the continuation of cooperation in specific areas of defence and security.
"India and Oman renewed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on military cooperation along with its annexure as well as on maritime issues on May 20.
The signing ceremony of MoU on military cooperation was held at Oman's Ministry of Defence in Muscat.
The document was signed by Secretary-General of Oman's defence ministry Dr Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi and Indian Ambassador Munu Mahawar.
The MoU on cooperation on maritime issues was signed at the maritime security centre by Commander of Royal Navy of Oman Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi and Mahawar.

Biden Administration Approves Sale of Precision-guided Weapons to Israel
As per reports, US President Joe Biden's administration has approved a $735 million sale of precision-guided weapons to Israel.
The Congress was officially notified of the proposed sale earlier this month, nearly a week before the conflict escalated between the Israeli forces and Palestinian militants in Gaza.
The proposed sale includes the joint direct attack munitions (JDAM) and GBU-39 small diameter bombs.

Replacing Rafales, France, Germany and Spain Strike Deal over Joint Fighter Jet
France, Germany and Spain have brokered a deal over the next steps of the development of a joint fighter jet, Europe's largest defence project at an estimated cost of more than 100 billion euros ($121.38 billion).
France's Dassault Aviation, Airbus and Indra - the latter two representing Germany and Spain respectively - are involved in the scheme to start replacing French Rafale and German and Spanish Eurofighters from 2040.
The next development phase for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) is expected to cost 3.5 billion euros ($4.25 billion), to be shared equally by the three countries.
