The establishment of National Start-up Day on January 16 was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2022. The first National Start-up Day was observed in India that same year. PM Modi praised the expansion of start-ups over the previous few years as he spoke with aspiring business owners via video conference.

Indian Army Day
Indian Army Day is celebrated every year on January 15. In 2024, we celebrated the 76th Army Day. This day is celebrated to commemorate the victory of the Indian Army over the British Army. On January 15, 1949, Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa became the first Commander-in-chief of the Indian Army and took over the authority from the British Commander-in-Chief General Francis Butcher. Indian Army Day, in 2024, was observed in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The theme of the Indian Army Day 2024 is 'In Service of the Nation'.

National Youth Day
National Youth Day or Yuva Divas is observed on January 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of India's greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders.
In 1984, the Indian Government first declared to celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, i.e. January 12 as National Youth Day. Since then the day has been celebrated as National Youth Day all over the country. The government's main aim is to make a better future for the country by motivating the youths through the way of their life and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda.
The theme for National Youth Day 2024 is 'Arise, Awake, and Realise the Power You Hold'.

National Road Safety Week
Every year, the National Road Safety Week is celebrated from January 11 to 17. Organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the week intends to spread awareness around road safety, which is a major concern for authorities as well as the government.
The National Road Safety Week was celebrated for the first time in 1989. On March 15, 2010 the Centre sanctioned the National Road Safety policy, recommended by the Sunder Committee.

World Hindi Day
World Hindi Day, also known as Vishwa Hindi Diwas, is celebrated on January 10 and is dedicated to acknowledging the language and its substantial impact. True to its name, the day strives to raise awareness about Hindi.
In 1949, Hindi was spoken for the first time in the United Nations General Assembly. In 2006, the first Vishwa Hindi Diwas was celebrated by the then Prime Minister of the country – Manmohan Singh. Since then, January 10 has been observed as World Hindi Day everywhere.
The theme for World Hindi Day 2024 is 'Hindi – Bridging Traditional Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence.'
