Muthiah's Book on TN Sports' Modern History Launched
Tamil Nadu's Quest For Gold, a book that provides a comprehensive look into the modern history of sports in the State, by the late historian and chronicler S. Muthiah was launched.
Vinod Kumar Tiwari, director - International & NOC Relations, Olympic Council of Asia, released the book.
The book is an initiative of the Tamil Nadu State Olympic Association (TNOA) president N. Ramachandran.
The book provides a commentary on 32 major sports. Each chapter (43 in all) intends to give an insight into the origin of a sport, the journey of its development and infrastructure, the remarkable events and achievements of the sportspersons, their coaches and the diligent administrators.

Book Released By Indian Ambassador To The Netherlands
A book penned by Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands Venu Rajamony titled 'India and the Netherlands - Past, Present and Future,' was released in Amsterdam.
The book gives an insight into the cross-cultural legacy between the two countries, and was released at a function attended by the king and queen of the Netherlands.
The first copy was received by King Willem Alexander in the presence of a large number of distinguished guests, including the Dutch Minister for Education, Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam and ambassadors of 26 countries.
The seminar, jointly organised by the Embassy of India and the Royal Asian Art Society, was held at the Rijksmuseum (National Museum), Amsterdam.
Book The RSS: Roadmaps for the 21st Century Launched
A new book, 'The RSS: Roadmaps For the 21st Century', written by Sunil Ambekar, the national organising secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the RSS was launched.
The book, published by Rupa Publications, was launched by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on October 1, 2019.
Ambekar, who hails from Nagpur and has spent about 40 years in the RSS. His book contains a futuristic vision of what the RSS should do in the years to come.

Pranab Mukherjee Releases Swamy's Book On Economy
Former president Pranab Mukherjee released a book written by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy that tracks the country's economic development over the years and offers solutions for future growth.
Launching the book 'Reset: Regaining India's Economic Legacy', Mukherjee spoke of his long association with Swamy and said he speaks what he feels and believes, and he is not afraid to declare his views publicly.
The former president also acknowledged the MP's input on liberalising trade when the latter was the commerce minister in the short-lived Chandra Shekhar government in 1990-91.

'Professor Ayushman' -- Comic Book Series
A comic book series with 'Professor Ayushman' as the central character has been unveiled to make children aware of the importance of medicinal plants and their use for home remedies.
The comic book, conceived by the National Medicinal Plants Board, talks about plants like Aloe Vera, Tulsi, Amla, Giloy, Neem, Ashvagandha and Brahmi.
The AYUSH Ministry has come out with the book that will be available for free and schools can approach the National Medicinal Plant Board with their request.
They will also be available at all AYUSH activities like Arogya Mela and others. AYUSH is the acronym of medical systems that are being practiced in India such as Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
