Launch Of The Book 'The Diary Of Manu Gandhi' In New Delhi

The National Archives of India, in collaboration with Oxford University Press, has published The Diary of Manu Gandhi 1943-44. Edited and translated by Tridip Suhrud, currently provost at the CEPT University, Gujarat, the book will be launched at New Delhi's Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.
Manu is Mahatma Gandhi's great-niece. She joined him in 1943 as an aide to the Mahatma's ailing wife, Kasturba, when the couple was in the Aga Khan Palace prison in Pune. Manu remained with Gandhi until his assassination. She wrote 10 diaries, which years after her death were handed over to the National Archives. The first volume of The Diary of Manu Gandhi is a record of her life with Gandhi in 1943 and 1944.
Authenticated by Gandhi himself, the entries in the diary throw light on his life as a prisoner and the "spiritual and educational pursuits of an adolescent woman who takes up writing as a mode of self-examination".
It is the subsequent volumes of her diary, which are to be published, that have references to Gandhi's controversial experiments with celibacy.

Book On Jammu And Kashmir's History From 1889 To 2019

A new book will tell the riveting story of the history of Jammu and Kashmir, from the time of its political and geographic consolidation under Maharaja Gulab Singh to the present-day, publishers Bloomsbury announced.
Titled, 'Kashmir's Untold Story: Declassified', the book penned by filmmaker Iqbal Chand Malhotra and defence analyst Maroof Raza, will hit stands September 18, 2019.
The book, which comes after the scrapping of Article 370 and 35A will also shed light on why the special status was 'integral to the accession treaty'.

Venkaiah Naidu Released Book Titled Vivekadeepini

Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu released a book titled Vivekadeepini,a concise book of aphorisms.
It was initially written by Adi Shankaracharya who is one of India's greatest spiritual and literary geniuses.

Vivekadeepini:

Vivekadeepini is a summary of Prashnottara Ratnamalika written by Adi Shankaracharya.
The book has compiled a select 36 verses drawn from 67 verses of Prashnottara Ratnamalika.
The verses are written in Question-Answer format. It contains universal truths and are the starting point for reflection.

"Sridevi: Girl Woman Superstar" a Book On The Life Of Sridevi

The book, titled 'Sridevi: Girl Woman Superstar' will be launched on Sridevi's 56th birth anniversary.
The book is written by author-screenwriter Satyarth Nayak. The book will be published under the Ebury Press imprint of Penguin Random House in October 2019.

Book Brahma, a Portal Cataloguing Kannada Books

On an average, over 4,000 books are published in Kannada annually but the biggest challenge for bibliophiles is to find them.
To fill this gap comes a new portal called Book Brahma (https://bookbrahma.com), which is exclusively for Kannada books and something on the lines of Goodreads. The portal, presently on a trial run, will go live on August 15, 2019.
The portal seeks to go beyond the features of Goodreads to not just catalogue reader reviews, but also literary criticism of the books, provide book news and related audio-visual content, including interviews of authors.

Tamil Book Oru Manidhan Oru Iyakkam Kalaignar Mu Karunanidhi Released By K Veeramani

The book titled 'Oru Manidhan Oru Iyakkam Kalaignar Mu. Karunanidhi' in Tamil language . It refers the life and work of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (Dravidian Progressive Conference) (DMK) leader Late M Karunanidhi, the former Tamil Nadu chief minister launched by K Veeramani, president of Dravidar Kazhagam in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.The book was first published by Frontline. It is a publication of The Hindu group.
Frontline was an experienced 35 years in journalism. The book includes all the articles published in the special issue – 'A Man and a Movement.'
It was brought out in August 2018 as a tribute to M Karunanidhi. It was launched one day before the first death anniversary of Late M Karunanidhi.

Amit Shah Releases Book On Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu's 2 Years In Office

Union home minister Amit Shah released a book that chronicles Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu's two years in office.
The book, "Listening, Learning & Leading" details Naidu's public as well as diplomatic engagements, including his visits to 19 countries across four continents.
