Rashmika is a household name and a popular face among millennials, especially in the Southern states of the country. She has enthralled audiences through Telugu and Kannada films that include hits like Chalo, Kirik Party, Sarileru Neekevvaru, Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade which have garnered over 200 Million views on YouTube.
Rashmika, popularly known as the 'National Crush' has expressed her love for food through her social media handles, on several occasions. Rashmika will be a part of key brand campaigns and will play a pivotal role in enhancing brand love for McDonald's across key markets.

Former CBI Director Ranjit Sinha Passes Away
Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Ranjit Sinha passed away in Delhi. He was 68.
Sinha, an 1974-batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre, was the CBI director between 2012 and 2014.
He had also headed the Railway Protection Force and served at senior positions in the Central Bureau of Investigation in Patna and Delhi before his appointment as CBI chief.
Sinha's tenure was easily the most tumultuous of a CBI director in recent years. He landed in one controversy after another in 2014. He also had a tiff with the Intelligence Bureau over the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case.

Alessandra Galloni First Woman as Reuters Editor-in-chief
The Reuters news service promoted Alessandra Galloni to be its new editor-in-chief, making her the first woman to take that role in the company's 170-year history.
The London-based Galloni will replace Stephen Adler, who has been the newsroom's leader for the past decade and announced that he will be retiring at the end of the month.
Galloni has been Reuters' global managing editor since 2015, coming to the company two years before that after working for 13 years at the Wall Street Journal.

K. Madhavan Named President, Walt Disney Co India, Star India
K. Madhavan was appointed as the president, The Walt Disney Company India and Star India, with immediate effect. This announcement was made by Rebecca Campbell, Chairman, International Operations and Direct-to-Consumer, The Walt Disney Company.
Madhavan will now be driving the strategy and growth of the company in India, with responsibility for the Disney, Star and Hotstar businesses and operations spanning across entertainment, sports and regional channels, and direct-to-consumer.
Since 2019, Madhavan was serving as country manager of Star & Disney India, overseeing the company's television and studios business in India.

Sushil Chandra New Chief Election Commissioner
Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra was appointed as Chief Election Commissioner.
Chandra was appointed as an Election Commissioner on February 14, 2019, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Under him, the Election Commission would hold assembly polls in Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
The term of the assemblies of Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Punjab ends on various dates in March next year.
The term of the Uttar Pradesh assembly ends on May 14 next year.
