A team successfully transplanted memories by transferring a form of genetic information called RNA from one snail into another.
The snails were trained to develop a defensive reaction.
RNA stands for ribonucleic acid; it's a large molecule involved in various essential roles within biological organisms - including the assembly of proteins and the way that genes are expressed more generally.

SpaceX Launches Updated Falcon 9 Rocket
SpaceX`s updated version of Falcon 9 rocket "Block 5" lifted off in Florida, boosting Bangladesh`s first communications satellite into orbit. The "Block 5" booster, the final substantial upgrade to SpaceX`s Falcon 9 launch vehicle, was launched from NASA`s Kennedy Space Centre, starting its maiden flight.
Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is Bangladesh`s first geostationary communications satellite, expected to have a primary service area encompassing Bangladesh and the surrounding region including territorial waters in the Bay of Bengal.

Faster Healing for Wounds
Researchers from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) have developed an inexpensive wound dressing using a carbon allotrope and psyllium husk (isabgol) that accelerates healing of wounds in both healthy persons and diabetics. Animal trials in rats show that the dressing heals wounds almost a week faster.

Sentinel Earth Observation Spacecraft Launched
The European Union has launched its latest Sentinel Earth observation spacecraft.
Sentinel-3b is a multi-purpose satellite, but will concentrate much of its work over the oceans, monitoring their behaviour and health.
This is now the seventh satellite the EU has lofted in its ambitious Copernicus programme, which seeks to put the biggest volume of Earth observation data ever acquired into the hands of policy makers, scientists, businesses and the general public.

NASA's New Planet Hunter
NASA blasted off its newest planet hunting spacecraft, TESS, a $337 million satellite that aims to scan 85 per cent of the sky for cosmic bodies where life may exist.
TESS is expected to reveal 20,000 planets beyond our solar system, including more than 50 Earth-sized planets and up to 500 planets less than twice the size of the Earth.
The new spacecraft will focus on nearby exoplanets, those in the range of 30 to 300 light-years away.
