The Jharkhand State Government has launched the Jharkhand Widow Remarriage Promotion Scheme 2024.
Under the Jharkhand Widow Remarriage Promotion Yojana 2024, the Jharkhand state government will provide INR to all the widowed who will get remarriage. Rs. 2 lakh would be allocated as a promotional amount. This scheme will apply to the social status of all the widowed women in the Jharkhand state. All the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria must fill out the application form on the official website to avail of the benefits of the Widow Remarriage Promotion Scheme 2024.

Uttarakhand Cabinet Clears Ordinance to Make Rioters Pay for Damage
The Uttarakhand government approved an ordinance mandating that losses incurred from damage to public and private property during riots be recovered from those deemed to be responsible for the disturbance.
After the Cabinet's approval, the Uttarakhand Public (Government) and Private Property Damage Recovery (Ordinance) Law 2024 was sent to the Governor. Apart from recovering losses, the ordinance also has provisions for fines of up to Rs. 8 lakh to be levied on the rioters.
According to a statement issued by the state government, if anyone gets injured during a riot, the entire cost of treatment will also be recovered from those responsible. Apart from this, all expenses incurred during the riot – on the police, administration, and other riot control agencies – will also be recovered.
The Cabinet also approved setting up a formal Claims Tribunal to deal with such cases and recover compensation. The members of the tribunal will include a retired judge, and an Additional District Magistrate-category officer will be given the responsibility of Claims Commissioner.

CM Yogi Rolls Out 'MYUVA Scheme' For Young Entrepreneurs in UP
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scheme to support young entrepreneurs called 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (MYUVA)'. This program offers interest-free loans to help young people kick-start their business ventures with projects valued up to Rs. 5 lakh.
The government aims to prepare one lakh young entrepreneurs every year through this scheme.
MYUVA targets educated and skilled youth across the state, providing them with opportunities for self-employment.
Beneficiaries include individuals who have undergone training in various government-supported schemes and those with educational qualifications.
Successful repayment of the initial loan qualifies participants for second-stage financing, enabling them to expand their businesses further.

Telangana Government Announces Launch of Indiramma Housing Scheme
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced the launch of the Indiramma Housing Scheme starting March 11. The scheme aims to provide housing solutions to the economically disadvantaged segments of society.
The first phase will witness the approval of 3,500 houses in each Assembly constituency, catering to a significant number of beneficiaries.

Smriti Irani Launches Improved Guidelines for 'Jiyo Parsi' Scheme
Union Minister Smriti Irani launched a revamped 'Jiyo Parsi' scheme and the Avesta-Pahlavi Language Centre at the Mumbai University during an event.
Jiyo Parsi is a central sector scheme launched in 2013-14 to arrest the population decline of the Parsi Community by adopting a scientific protocol and structured interventions.
The Minister highlighted the importance of the revival of languishing languages, especially those related to notified minority communities. The Ministry of Minority Affairs in collaboration with Mumbai University aims to establish the Centre and required infrastructure for undertaking certificate courses, diploma courses, and PhD programs.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Unveils Coal Logistics Plan and Policy
Aiming at transporting coal seamlessly across the country, the Union Ministry of Coal has drafted a logistics plan and policy in consultation with all stakeholders in the supply chain.
The plan, called 'Coal Logistics Plan and Policy' and unveiled by Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi, will bring together all agencies involved in mining, transport, monitoring, and usage on a single digital smart platform.
The stakeholders that are part of the planning include the Ministry of Railways; Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways; Coal India; NTPC; NITI Aayog; and private coal miners.
