A Book Titled "Dilip Kumar: In the Shadow of a Legend" by Faisal Farooqui

A new book on the legendary actor of Indian cinema, Yusuf Khan, better known as Dilip Kumar, was released by author Faisal Farooqui. The book is titled "In the Shadow of a Legend: Dilip Kumar". The book is a tribute to Dilip Kumar the man more than Dilip Kumar the actor. Farooqui is the founder and CEO of Mouthshut.com, one of India's leading review and rating platforms.
In the book, Dilip Kumar: In the Shadow of a Legend, the author painted an intimate portrait of the actor, throwing light on some little-known anecdotes from his illustrious life. The book brings to us the real Dilip Kumar, away from the large screen that made him such an endearing figure for his fans. Dilip Kumar was much more than the actor that we have revered all these years.

I&B Minister Anurag Thakur Releases Books Showcasing Rare Pictures of Prez Kovind, his Predecessors

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur released three books published by Directorate of Publications Division. Upon release the Minister presented the first copy of the books to President of India Ram Nath Kovind in presence of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, President-elect Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The three books are:
Moods, Moments and Memories - Former Presidents of India (1950-2017) A Visual History
First Citizen - Pictorial Record of President Ram Nath Kovind's Term
Interpreting Geometries - Flooring of Rashtrapati Bhavan
The first book is a pictorial history that chronicles all the Presidents of India from the Dr. Rajendra Prasad till Shri Pranab Mukherjee and contains rare photographs sourced from Rashtrapati Bhavan archives. These photographs highlight some unique aspects of our Presidents' lives in the historic building, both personal & public.
The second book is dedicated to President Shri Ram Nath Kovind's tenure and contains rare photographs from Shri Kovind's village and his school days. It traces his journey from his village to Rashtrapati Bhavan, and will educate the readers on how a boy from humble beginnings went on to occupy the highest office in India.
The third book is a pictorial volume put together by the Chandigarh College of Architecture and contains the historic & one-of-a-kind flooring of Rashtrapati Bhavan shown with its unique, repetitive motifs and designs & use of rare stones. Special study has gone into floral patterns embossed on geometrical backgrounds. The book displays the highest workmanship of the artisans who worked tirelessly for 18 years to build this residence. The meticulous designs on the floors, each different from the other, make the book a collector's item.

'The Light We Carry': Michelle Obama's Second Book to Hit Stands in November

After the huge success of her acclaimed memoir "Becoming" in 2018, former US first lady Michelle Obama announced the release of her second book, "The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times".
The book, scheduled to release on November 15, will be published simultaneously in 14 languages and 27 countries around the world, with additional languages and territories to be announced.
In the book, Michelle Obama offers readers a series of fresh stories and insightful reflections on change, challenge, and power, including "her belief that when we light up for others, we can illuminate the richness and potential of the world around us, discovering deeper truths and new pathways for progress".

Uttarakhand CM Dhami Releases the Book "Beyond The Misty Veil"

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the book "Beyond The Misty Veil", Temple Tales of Uttarakhand written by Aradhana Johri (Senior IAS) on the temples of Uttarakhand. This book will be known as an authentic introduction to the divine temples of Uttarakhand in the country and abroad. Former IAS officer Aradhana Johri had served earlier as the District Magistrate of Nainital.
The book based on the mythological temples of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand informs us about our culture and mythology. Apart from Chardham, religious tourism should also be promoted. The book talks about the temples of Uttarakhand, their significance and the tales associated with them. This will connect the main temples coming in different areas of the state and will promote religious tourism by developing them in the form of circuits.

S. Jaishankar Launches 'Connecting Through Culture' at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Delhi

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar launched 'Connecting through Culture', an anthology of essays on various aspects of India's soft power strengths, at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan in New Delhi, India. The Minister described the book as the "good cop" in diplomacy and said that it can be used to encourage others to work with India because "it creates a comfort about India.
It takes different aspects of India and to some degree, it brings out the familiarity with different facets of India." The anthology in many ways is a very notable contribution to understanding India, appreciating India, and in many ways valuing India.

Himachal Governor Rajendra Vishwanath unveils book 'The McMahon line'

The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, released a book titled "The McMahon line: A century of discord". The book has been authored by General J.J. Singh (Retd), the former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and former Chief of Army Staff (CoAS). The book is based on the experiences and research of General JJ Singh on the India-China border dispute. A short film related to the McMahon line was also screened. This is the second book written by him.
