The national round of the National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) was held on 10th and 11th March 2022.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Anurag Thakur addressed the inaugural session of National round of 3rd edition of National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) 2022 in the central hall of Parliament, New Delhi.
Om Birla addressed the valedictory function of NYPF. The top three National Winners also get an opportunity to speak before the Lok Sabha Speaker during the valedictory function.
The theme of National Youth Parliament Festival 2022 was 'be the voice of New India and find solutions and contribute to Policy'.
The 1st edition of NYPF was organized in 2019.The 2nd edition of NYPF was organized from 23rd December 2020 to 12th January 2021.

Surjakund Crafts Fair
The Surajkund International Crafts Mela, which is a major platform for artists across the globe to showcase their culture and talent, will now be held from March 20th to 4th April 2022. This year, Jammu & Kashmir has been chosen as the theme state of Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
The event is organised annually by the Haryana Tourism Department in Surajkund. The event has attracted tourists and artists from over 20 countries including South Asia, Africa, and Europe actively participate in making this fair a huge success.
Surajkund, meaning 'Lake of the Sun', is an ancient reservoir that was built by King Suraj Pal of the Tomar dynasty in the 10th century.

International Day of Women Judges
March 10 marked the International Day of Women Judges. On this day, the United National reaffirms its commitment to develop and implement appropriate and effective strategies and plans for the advancement of women in the judicial system and institution at the managerial and leadership level.
Women's presence in the judiciary system enhances the legitimacy of courts and sends a powerful message saying that they're open and accessible to those who want to seek justice.
Equality in the judiciary system has historically been uneven and the steps taken to change this are evidenced by the declaration of the UN General Assembly to mark this day as International Day of Women Judges. The resolution of the General Assembly was drafted by the State of Qatar, which is proof to bring a positive shift in society.
CISF Raising Day
CISF, the Central Industrial Security Force, is for the central armed police force in India. It is one of the six paramilitary forces in India functioning under the Union Home Ministry. The headquarters are located in New Delhi. In the year 1969, the CISF was set up on March 10 and three battalions were formed under the CISF act 1968, which was passed by the Parliament of India. Since then, March 10 is celebrated as CISF Raising Day every year.
The CISF also has a Special Security Group wing, which provides security to many prominent personalities who are classified under X, Y, Z and Z plus categories. It also has a special fire wing for fire accidents. Apart from guarding sensitive government buildings, it also provides consultancy services on security and fire protection to government as well as private industries.

No Smoking Day
No Smoking Day is observed on the second Wednesday of March.
The United Kingdom witnessed that the people in the country are getting addicted to smoking. In 1984, the day was observed for the first time. Earlier, it was celebrated on the first Wednesday of March as it began on Ash Wednesday. However, with time, it shifted to the second Wednesday. Now, it is celebrated as an annual event all over the United Kingdom and in other countries too.
The day was started with the objective of helping addictive smokers to quit smoking forever. This is a health awareness day that takes place every year with a different theme. Few of the successful themes have been 'Break Free' and 'Time to Quit?' In March 2022, the theme was 'quitting smoking doesn't have to be stressful.' The focus of this year was on calming down people who want to quit smoking and letting them know that the process need not be stressful.

Mobile World Congress 2022 in Barcelona
The Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) organised the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC), which took place in Barcelona, Spain from 28 February to 3 March. The focus on 5G and maximizing its potential for benefiting countries and economies is the centrepiece of MWC this year which is taking place amid an ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Global Mobile Economy Report expects 5G connections globally to reach 1 billion in 2022 by 5G adoption. An increase in the 5G network connection will increase the global GDP by 5% up to$5 trillion in 2025. Global telecom industry to invest$600 billion till 2025 in the global mobile industry's capital expenditure (CAPEX) and 85% of it will be spent on 5G. The MWC is expected to see keynote sessions from top telecom voices including Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, Adam Selipsky, CEO, Amazon Web Services, Jessica Rosenworcel, Chairwoman of the FCC and Cristiano Amon, President and CEO, Qualcomm among others.
International Women's Day
Every year, March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day across the world to promote women's rights and honour their achievements across the political, economic, social and cultural spheres. The origins of International Women's Day can be traced back to the many socialist movements witnessed in the early 20th century.
Adopted by the United Nations in the year 1977 and aided by the second and third waves of Feminism, this day is a reminder of the grit and determination of women all across the world.
The theme for International Women's Day 2022 was "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow."
