Armed Forces Flag Day

The Armed Forces Flag Day or the Flag Day of India is a day dedicated to India towards collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel.
It has been observed annually in India on December 7 since 1949. Over the years, it has become a tradition to commemorate this day as an honour to the soldiers, sailors and airmen of India.

International Civil Aviation Day

In 1996 the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed that 7th December was to be the International Civil Aviation Day.
The day has been celebrated by the International Civil Aviation Organisation since 7 December 1994, the 50th anniversary of the signing the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
The purpose of the day is to recognise the importance of aviation, especially international air travel, to the social and economic development of the world.

Indian Navy Day

Navy Day in India is celebrated on 4th December every year to celebrate the achievements and role of the naval force to the country.
The Indian Navy is the marine branch of the Indian Armed Forces and is led by the President of India as Commander-in-Chief.
The Maratha Emperor, Chhatarpati Shivaji Bhosle of the 17th century is considered as "Father of the Indian Navy".
Navy Day in India is celebrated to commemorate the courageous attack on the Karachi harbour during the Indo-Pakistan war (on 4th December 1971) by the Indian Naval Missile boats as well as to reverence all the martyrs of that war.
It is celebrated using a particular theme (like "Safe Seas and Secure Coasts for a strong Nation") of the year for making it more powerful and potent.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been annually observed on 3rd December around the world.
The theme for this year's IDPD is "Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality".
This theme focuses on the empowering persons with disabilities for the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development envisaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The 2030 Agenda, pledging to "leave no one behind," is an ambitious plan of action of the international community towards a peaceful and prosperous world, where dignity of an individual person and equality among all is applied as the fundamental principle, cutting across the three pillars of the work of the United Nations: Development, Human Rights and Peace and Security.
It is critical to ensure, in this regard, the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and create enabling environments by, for and with persons with disabilities.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.
World AIDS Day is one of the eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO), along with World Health Day, World Blood Donor Day, World Immunization Week, World Tuberculosis Day, World No Tobacco Day, World Malaria Day and World Hepatitis Day.
As of 2017, AIDS has killed between 28.9 million and 41.5 million people worldwide, and an estimated 36.7 million people are living with HIV, making it one of the most important global public health issues in recorded history.
According a report by UNICEF, India has the highest number of children and adolescents aged 0-19 with HIV in 2017, the highest number in South Asia.
