Udaipur Institution Gets Global Aid for Prosthetics and Orthotics

An Udaipur-based charitable institution has received a global grant worth Rs. 1.34 crore for starting a central fabrication unit to manufacture and supply prosthetics and orthotics with computer-aided design technology for differently abled persons. The artificial limbs will be distributed free of cost through camps to be organised at remote places all over the country.

PM Modi Addresses Association of Indian Universities' 95th Annual Meet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Association of Indian Universities' 95th annual meet and National Seminar of Vice-Chancellors through video conferencing.
PM Modi also released four books based on Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's life, written by Kishor Makwana.
The books are: Dr. Ambedkar Jivan Darshan, Dr. Ambedkar Vyakti Darshan, Dr. Ambedkar Rashtra Darshan and Dr. Ambedkar Aayam Darshan.
The event was hosted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad. Governor and Chief Minister of Gujarat and Union Education Minister were also present on the occasion.

OP Jindal Launches First-of-its-kind UAS Programme

The OP Jindal Global University (JGU) announced the country's first University Administrative Service (UAS) programme, through which graduating students and alumni of JGU will be recruited in administrative positions within the university.
Founding Vice Chancellor C Raj Kumar said, "The purpose of the UAS programme is to enable highly skilled young leaders to work within the administrative departments of JGU and to provide a fast-track career path to these talented individuals so that they can assume administrative leadership positions early in their career."

World's First Gamified Sanskrit Learning Application

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) tied up with the Gamapp Sportswizz Tech Private Limited to launch "LITTLE GURU" application. It is a specialised mobile application for learning Sanskrit.
Little Guru is a gamified application.
It teaches Sanskrit in an interactive platform. This makes learning easier.
The app was launched during the celebrations of the 71st Foundation Day of ICCR.
It is world's first Gamified Sanskrit learning application.

Manipal's WGSHA Gets US Recognition

The Manipal-based Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) got accreditation from the US-based Hotel Schools of Distinction (HSD) as its partner school.
WGSHA aims to strengthen its network with the affiliation from Hotel Schools of Distinction to provide hospitality management programmes. With this partnership, HSD's goal is to create hospitality leadership through education, to provide the hospitality industry with the best talent, wherever they are located in the world.
WGSHA becomes the only hospitality school in the Asia-Pacific region to be so recognised with this accreditation.

Alagappa University Launches Online UG, PG Degree Programmes

Alagappa University, Karaikudi, one of the leading state universities of Tamil Nadu, has announced the launch of online learning portal, auedu.in, which will offer high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in multiple domains.
The University announced this as an initiative to expand its offerings in line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). These high-quality online degrees shall enable learners to learn from and engage with the excellent faculty of Alagappa University online.
Through its learning portal, the university will offer MBA with specializations in General Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Logistics Management and Tourism Management to help learners from across the globe prepare for management careers.
Other postgraduate programmes offered online include MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, MA in English and Master of Commerce. It will also offer Bachelor of Business Administration to aspirants looking to get into business management as a domain. Besides this flagship undergraduate programme, Alagappa University will also offer B.Com and BA in Tamil as an undergraduate offering on the portal.
