TELT Testing Policy

TCY is committed to providing online tests that are fair to all test takers and administered in a secure environment. It maintains policies and procedures designed to ensure the integrity and fairness of your testing experience.
TELT Test Centre Procedures and Regulations
- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
TCY authorises the test-centre administrator to dismiss a candidate from a testing session and/or TCY may cancel your scores for reported violations of these procedures and regulations. In case of cancellation, your scores will not be reported and test fee will be forfeited.
  • You are required to have a valid and acceptable Aadhar Card to take the test and must always keep the UID with you at all times.
  • Friends or relatives, who accompany you to the test centre, will not be permitted to be in contact with you while you are taking the test. Except TCY-authorised observers, visitors are not permitted to go in the testing room while testing is in progress.
  • You are not allowed to bring any personal items, other than identification documents, in the testing room. This includes, but is not limited to, notes, study-material, cell phones, smart phones, tablets, or any other electronic, photographic, listening, scanning or recording devices or any other unfair means. Before the test, you will receive instructions from test centre staff regarding where to store personal items, which you must follow.
  • You must not share or communicate with anyone about the content of the test. Also, communication in any form is not permitted during the test.
  • You are not permitted to remove any paper from the testing room at any time before, during and after the test. The paper, in its entirety, must be returned to the test-centre administrator at the end of the testing session. If you are observed using any document or paper other than the scratch paper given to you by test centre staff, it will be confiscated.
  • TCY prohibits certain behaviour on the part of candidate which includes, but is not limited to, falsifying information required for admission to an examination; impersonating another examinee and taking the examination for any reason other than for the purpose of seeking a certificate or as mentioned in our policy document.
  • No kind of disruptive behaviour will be tolerated. TCY gives the right to the test-centre administrator to determine in its sole and absolute discretion as to what constitutes disruptive behaviour.
TCY reserves the right to take an appropriate action and/or notify appropriate authorities, if you fail to comply with test-administration regulations or communicate with TCY, either verbally or in writing, in a threatening or disturbing manner. Reports of cheating will be investigated thoroughly and offenders may be prosecuted as per the applicable laws.
Checking in at the Test Centre
The Test centre will require you to do each of the following:
  • Show Your Aadhar Card
  • Have your photo taken. Your photo will be embedded into your paper score report.
  • Testing premises are subject to videotaping.
Taking the Test
Once you enter the testing venue:
  • You will not have access to personal items such as books, electronic devices, handbags or backpacks, which are stored separately to maintain security.
  • You must present your Aadhar Card to the test-centre administrator for verification when you leave and when you return from a break.
Improper Behaviour Leading to Dismissal from Test Centre
Fraudulent or unethical testing behaviour will not be tolerated. TCY may use statistical evaluation or other professional evaluation methods, as evidence, that a test taker did not complete the test, or part of the test, independently or that the pre-knowledge of test questions or answers occurred.
If TCY believes that a test taker may have gained an unfair advantage by sharing or obtaining test questions, topics or answers before, during or after the test, or that a test was completed in whole or in part by someone or with the assistance of someone other than the registered test taker, TCY may exercise its right to cancel the test taker's appointment in advance, hold or cancel the test taker's scores and/or ban the test taker from future testing.
The test-centre supervisor is authorised to dismiss you from the test centre, and TCY reserves the right to hold and/or cancel your scores, and/or ban you from future testing, for any action that violates any of the TCY Testing policies and procedures communicated to you at the test centre on the day of the test, including but not limited to:
  • Taking or attempting to take the test or part of the test for someone else, or having or attempting to have someone take the test or part of the test for you.
  • Removing or attempting to remove any test-content, scratch paper or notes relating to the test. Under no circumstances may test content or any part of the test content be removed, reproduced and/or disclosed to any person or entity by any means, including hard copy, verbally and/or electronically.
  • Failing to provide valid Aadhar Card.
  • Obtaining or having improper access to any test content, a part of the test, or information about the test, including test questions, topics or answers, in advance of the test administration, or bringing pre-knowledge of any test information into the test centre in any form. This includes on your ID documents, via prohibited devices, and any other method used as an aid in connection with the test. TCY reserves the right to cancel scores when evidence of pre-knowledge is found.
  • Using or having a phone, watch, or any other electronic device at the test centre is prohibited and will result in your dismissal from the test centre and/or cancellation of your scores by TCY. Your test fee will not be refunded.
