In a push for environmental conservation and community empowerment, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched the Rajiv Gandhi Van Samvardhan Yojana from Hamirpur. The scheme aims to increase the state's green cover by planting fruit-bearing trees on degraded forest lands while promoting employment generation and community involvement through Mahila Mandals, Yuvak Mandals, and self-help groups (SHGs).

Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' Launched at OUAT, Bhubaneswar
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the "Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA)" on Thursday.
The goal of this campaign is to transform Indian farming with the help of science and technology.
It was launched in Sakshigopal, Puri and later at the ICAR-CIFA centre in Bhubaneswar.
The VKSA campaign aims to make India the "food basket of the world."
It focuses on connecting scientists directly with farmers, so they can share better farming methods.
This supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi's idea of taking science from "Lab to Land" and building a Developed India.

A.P. CM Chandrababu Naidu Rolls Out Red Carpet for Investors
A day after releasing six policies for industrial growth and job creation, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu rolled out a red carpet welcome, inviting investors to the state and make use of the investor-friendly govt, talented youth, and robust infrastructure.
Unveiling the policies after the cabinet nod, CM Naidu said that state govt aimed at attracting 30 lakh crore investments in the manufacturing sector.
He stated that the NDA has promised to create 20 lakh job opportunities in five years, and the six policies are crucial in that direction to achieve the target.

Rahveer Scheme for Accident Victims
Madhya Pradesh has initiated the Rahveer Scheme to incentivise good Samaritans who assist accident victims.
This decision was made during a special cabinet meeting held at the historic Rajwada Fort in Indore.
The scheme offers a reward of Rs. 25,000 to individuals who help transport accident victims to medical facilities. The initiative aims to reduce road fatalities in a state that reported over 54,000 accidents in 2022.
The Rahveer Scheme encourages bystanders to help accident victims. To qualify, individuals must stop at the accident site, call for a 108 ambulance, and aid in transporting the injured.
This initiative seeks to alleviate fears of police harassment for those who assist. It is expected to save numerous lives by promoting prompt medical attention.
