Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually launched a significant programme from Ahmedabad aimed at making international travel seamless for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.
The programme, titled 'Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program' (FTI-TTP), the programme is now operational at the following seven airports: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin and Ahmedabad.
The objective of the programme is to provide world-class immigration facilities to travellers, making international travel seamless and secure. Initially, this facility has been launched free of cost for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.

Jammu Becomes Indian Railways' 69th Division
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Jammu Railway Division, marking it as the 69th division under the Northern Railway Zone. This strategic move aims to enhance connectivity and foster socio-economic development in the northernmost regions of India.
The newly established division, headquartered in Jammu, encompasses a network of 742.1 route km. It includes key sections such as Pathankot-Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla (423 km), Bhogpur-Sirwal-Pathankot (87.21 km), Batala-Pathankot (68.17 km), and the narrow-gauge Pathankot-Joginder Nagar line (163.72 km).
This reorganisation, carved out from the Firozpur Division, is poised to streamline train operations and improve management efficiency in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and the Leh-Ladakh regions.
