All African passport holders are now able to visit Ghana without needing a visa, outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo has said.
Ghana is now the fifth African country to offer this to travellers from the rest of the continent.
Rwanda, Seychelles, the Gambia and Benin are the others.

Air India First Airline to Roll out Wi-Fi for Select Domestic Flights
Tata group airline Air India rolled out Wi-Fi internet connectivity services on board domestic and international flights operated by select aircraft in its fleet. With the rollout of this service, Air India became the first Indian airline to offer internet connectivity on domestic flights.
Wi-Fi will be offered free of charge on domestic flights operated by select aircraft for a limited introductory period. The airline did not specify the length of the introductory period. Over time, Air India plans to progressively offer the service on other aircraft in its fleet.

Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport Becomes Country's First Zero-Waste Airport
In yet another achievement for Indore, the country's cleanest city in Madhya Pradesh, the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in the city officially became the first zero-waste airport in the country as Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the massive 3000 sq ft material recovery facility.
Naidu, who inaugurated the waste segregation facility at the airport, also inaugurated the new air traffic control tower which has been built at a cost of Rs. 55 crore.
The material recovery facility boasts of a comprehensive waste management system which will recycle garbage from both the aircraft and the airport with the wet waste converted into fertilizer. The airport's zero-waste initiative is based on the 4R concept: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Restore.

India Ranks 39th in Travel and Tourism Development Index 2024
India significantly improved its position in the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) 2024, ranking 39th among 119 countries. This marks a sharp rise from its 54th place in the previous 2021 index, which was later adjusted to 38th after a revision in WEF's methodology. The boost in India's ranking reflects a strong recovery in global tourism, following the pandemic, and the country's growing role as a hub for medical and cultural tourism.
