Professor Meena Charanda Honoured with 'International Culture Award' 2024

Professor Meena Charanda, Principal of Kalindi College, Delhi University, was awarded the prestigious 'International Culture Award' for the year 2024. Prof. Charanda received this honour in recognition of her remarkable work in the field of education and social service. The award ceremony took place at the India International Centre.
During the award ceremony, Prof. Charanda was presented with a memento, a plaque, a shield and a citation from the university.
Prof. Charanda has been teaching in the Political Science Department of Kalindi College for more than two decades.
She holds a PhD degree from Delhi University, where she studied Dalit Assemblies of Uttar Pradesh.
Prof. Charanda has authored a book on the role of Dalit MLAs in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
She has published more than 50 articles in various newspapers and magazines.

Vijay Jain Bags Times Power Icon 2024 Award

Vijay Jain, the Managing Director of Star Estate, was awarded the prestigious Times Power Icon 2024 Award at an event organised by the Times Group. The event celebrated and honoured top industry leaders, gracing the occasion with the presence of industry leaders and celebrities, including Cine icon Ada Sharma, who presented the award to Vijay Jain.
The Times Power Icon 2024 Award acknowledged and celebrated Vijay Jain's visionary leadership and outstanding achievements in the real estate sector.

President Murmu Confers Bharat Ratna Awards upon L. K. Advani, Karpoori Thakur and 3 Others

President Droupadi Murmu confered the Bharat Ratna upon five eminent personalities including two former Prime Ministers (posthumously) and veteran BJP leader L. K. Advani.
Among the five personalities awarded the Bharat Ratna, except for former Deputy Prime Minister L. K. Advani, four others -- ex-Prime Ministers Chaudhary Charan Singh and P. V. Narasimha Rao, eminent agricultural scientist M. S. Swaminathan, and former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, were awarded posthumously.

Aviation Week Laureates Award Was Given To ISRO for Chandrayaan-3

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was honoured with the prestigious Aviation Week Laureates Award for its remarkable achievements in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Sripriya Ranganathan, Deputy Ambassador at the Indian Embassy in the US, accepted the award on behalf of ISRO.
The Aviation Week Network's Laureate Awards are highly esteemed accolades in the aviation and aerospace industry.
These awards celebrate exceptional accomplishments that embody the spirit of exploration, innovation, and vision.
Launched in July 2023 from Sriharikota using GSLV-Mark III (LVM-3) heavy-lift rocket. The spacecraft consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan, omitting an orbiter this time.

NDTV Presents 'Indian of the Year' Awards

NDTV presented the 'Indian of the Year' awards that acknowledge distinguished visionaries, political figures, sports icons, and entertainers who have not only fortified the pillars of our society but have also contributed to the development of India. The women of India were awarded NDTV's 'Indian of the Year' award.

Vikrant Massey was awarded the 'Actor of the Year' award. Vikrant Massey delivered a stellar performance in the superhit film '12th Fail' where he portrayed the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his journey of clearing the Civil Services Exam.
