Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Approves Night Safari Park in Kukrail Forest Area
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the proposal for a night safari park in Lucknow district's Kukrail forest area. As part of the project, the government will establish a zoological park on around 150 acres and night safari on 350 acres without disturbing the dense 2,027-hectare forest in the forest area's eastern and western blocks.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said the new zoological garden in Lucknow would replace the existing one. He called the plan an "ambitious project" and said the government would hire a consultant to conduct a survey and cost assessment.
The Uttar Pradesh government has already identified 56 ecotourism sites in the state's 56 districts under its One District, One Destination scheme in an attempt to boost ecotourism and increase employment opportunities.

Swadesh Darshan Revampes to Create Jobs, Preserve Local Cultural: Centre
The Ministry of Tourism revamped its Swadesh Darshan scheme with an objective to create jobs, including self-employment for local communities, and preserve and enhance the local cultural and natural resources.
The ministry under this scheme provides financial assistance to state governments or Union Territory administrations or central agencies for development of tourism infrastructure in the country.
The projects under this scheme are sanctioned subject to availability of funds, submission of suitable detailed project reports (DPR), adherence to scheme guidelines and utilisation of funds released earlier, among others.
The government under its Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS) sanctioned 10 projects under the theme of Coastal Circuit.
The Ministry of Tourism revamped its Swadesh Darshan scheme as Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0) in order to develop sustainable and responsible destination centric approach with objectives such as enhancing contribution of tourism to local economies; creating jobs including self-employment for local communities; and enhancing skills of local youth in tourism and hospitality.

Uttarakhand Tourism Department to Develop 'Modi Circuit' at Corbett Reserve
The Uttarakhand tourism department is working on a plan to develop a "Modi circuit" at the Corbett Tiger Reserve, covering the places visited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi while shooting for a television programme in 2019.
Modi had undertaken a slew of adventure activities while shooting for an episode of "Man vs Wild", hosted by Bear Grylls on Discovery channel. During the shoot, Modi and Grylls crossed the Kosi River on a makeshift raft and walked through a tiger trail, with the Prime Minister holding a spear in his hand.

After seven months of refurbishing and sprucing up, another tourism-oriented project is now open to the public and is anticipated to draw more visitors to this city.
The Kalayaan Park (Freedom Park) is a 1.3-hectare area located in Barangay Gogon, Legazpi, Philippines that showcases state-of-the-art amenities which cater to people of all ages.
Kalayaan Park was originally constructed during the martial law years and was then named "Imelda Park" in honour of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
