FIFA Bans Chad Indefinitely from Global Football over Government Interference
FIFA has banned Chad from global football until further notice over government interference in the running of the country's football federation.
The move comes after the Minister of Youth and Sports dissolved the Federation of Chad Football Associations in March.
After the announcement by the Chadian government the Confederation of African Football disqualified the national team from last month's final two rounds of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Chad do not have any upcoming international fixtures having been knocked out of 2022 World Cup qualifying by Sudan in 2019.
Hurkacz Beats Teen Sinner to Win Miami Open
Poland's Hubert Hurkacz claimed his first ATP Masters 1000 title by beating Italian teenager Jannik Sinner in the Miami Open final.
Hurkacz won 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 to become the first Polish singles player to win one of the ATP's top-level events.
The world number 37 is the lowest-ranked player to win a Masters event since Tomas Berdych in Paris in 2005.
Sinner, 19, was the youngest Masters finalist since Rafael Nadal in 2005.
Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer all skipped this year's tournament, though Hurkacz still beat world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas and world number eight Andrey Rublev on his way to the final.

North Korea Out of Tokyo Olympics
North Korea said that it will not participate in the Tokyo Olympics because of the coronavirus pandemic. As per reports the decision was made during a national Olympic Committee meeting where members prioritised protecting athletes from the world public health crisis caused by Covid-19.

Shabir Hussein Shekhadam Khandwawala New BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit Chief
Former Gujarat DGP Shabir Hussein Shekhadam Khandwawala has taken over from Ajit Singh as the head of the BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit.
Singh, a former DGP of Rajasthan, had joined in April 2018 and his term ended on March 31. He confirmed that he will be around for some time to help his successor settle into the role.
Khandwawala, a 1973-batch IPS officer, has been appointed ahead of the IPL beginning April 9.
He retired as Gujarat DGP in December 2010. After that he was an advisor to the Essar Group for 10 years.
All Domestic Badminton Tournaments in April and May Postponed
All upcoming domestic badminton tournaments in the country have been postponed amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Badminton Association of India (BAI) informed.
As a result, the upcoming tournament in Bengaluru, scheduled to be played from April 18 to 25 has been postponed. Also, junior and sub-junior competitions in Hyderabad, which were slated to be held in May, have been postponed.
Pramod Bhagat Wins Double Gold
World No. 1 Pramod Bhagat won the men's singles gold in the SL4 category at the Dubai Para Badminton tournament after defeating compatriot Nitesh Kumar. Bhagat beat Kumar 21-17 21-18 in the final.
Bhagat then paired up with Manoj Sarkar to clinch the men's doubles gold in SL4-SL3 category by beating Indian counterparts Sukant Kadam and Nitesh Kumar 21-18 21-16. Bhagat also won a bronze in mixed doubles, pairing up with Palak Kohli.

Manu Bhaker Selected for 3 Disciplines
Pistol ace Manu Bhaker will represent India in the women's 25m pistol competition over quota winner Chinki Yadav. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) selection committee, led by president Raninder Singh, met to select the Tokyo-bound team.
Only two major talking points were discussed during the meeting. One was the toss-up between Manu and Chinki and the other was the selection of world No. 1 Elavenil Valarivan in the 10m air rifle discipline.
With Manu getting to shoot in the 25m pistol event, Chinki's quota will be given to Anjum Moudgil in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions competition. The Chandigarh shooter will also pair with Deepak Kumar in the 10m air rifle mixed team competition. Anjum's place in the 10m air rifle individual competition will be filled by Elavenil who will also shoot in the mixed competition with Divyansh Singh Panwar.

Tashkent to Host 2023 AIBA Men's World Boxing Championships
President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Umar Kremlev during his visit to Uzbekistan officially announced that AIBA Men's World Boxing Championships will take place in Tashkent in 2023.
The city of Tashkent is awarded the 2023 AIBA Men's World Boxing Championships after the successful bid presentation by the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan. The AIBA Board of Directors voted in favor of the major event candidate city.
Babar Azam Surpasses Virat Kohli
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has added another feather to his illustrious cap as he became the fastest men's cricketer to score 13th centuries in ODI cricket.
Playing in his 78th ODI, Babar smashed 103 runs to guide his team to a three-wicket win in the first ODI of the three-match series against South Africa at the SuperSport Park. He surpassed former Proteas batsman Hashim Amla and India skipper Virat Kohli to achieve the feat.
Babar has taken just 76 innings to score 13 tons while Amla, who until now was the fastest, had scored his 13th ODI hundred in 83 innings.
Meanwhile, Kohli, who hasn't scored a ton since 2019, had taken 86 innings to score 13 ODI hundreds.
