In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched the Jeevan Shakti Yojana. Under this scheme, women in urban areas can earn by making masks at home.
The government will pay them Rs 11 per mask.

Government Reconstitutes National Shipping Board
The government has approved reconstitution of the National Shipping Board to be headed by former Director General of Shipping Malini Shankar.
The National Shipping Board (NSB) is the highest advisory body on matters related to Indian shipping including the development there of and on such other matters arising out of the Merchant Shipping Act.
The shipping ministry has approved reconstitution of the 16-member NSB, which will be headed by former Director General of Shipping Malini Shankar, as per a communication from the ministry to the DG Shipping.
NAFED To Distribute About 6 Lakh Metric Tonne Pulses Under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
A massive operation for transport and milling of pulses is underway in the country to distribute one kilogram of pulses to about twenty crore households for three months under the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
This operation entails lifting of un-milled pulses from the godowns, getting the pulses cleaned and then reaching them to the states for distribution. Under the scheme, NAFED will distribute around 5.88 lakh metric tonnes pulses to about 20 crore National Food Security Act households through ration shops for three months.

E-Gram Swaraj Portal & Swamitva Scheme Launched
Narendra Modi on April 24, 2020 launched two portals E-Gram Swaraj Portal & Swamitva Scheme for the upliftment of the rural areas of India. The portal was launched on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day 2020 through videoconferencing between PM Modi and Sarpanches of village panchayats.
While launching the app, the Prime Minister stated that E Gram Swaraj marks the complete digitization of villages and rural areas. The portal can be accessed at egramswaraj.gov.in and is also available as a mobile app. Along with the portal, PM Modi launched the Swamitva Scheme for the mapping of properties in villages.
Govt To Set Up Rs 1-Trn Fund To Clear Pending MSME Payments
The government will set up a Rs 1 trillion fund to repay outstanding payments to MSMEs owed by the central and state government undertakings as well as major industries.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said he has devised a scheme to set up the fund, and the proposal may be placed before the Cabinet for approval once the Finance Ministry gives its go-ahead.
9 Lakh Women SHGs in AP Now Get Zero Interest Loans
The women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Andhra Pradesh will now get loans at zero per cent interest.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy formally launched the scheme in Amaravati by releasing Rs. 1,400 crore to benefit 8.78 lakh SHGs.
Under the scheme, interest component will be borne by the government to the tune of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000.

Cabinet approves fixation of Nutrient Based Subsidy rates for Phosphatic & Potassic fertilizers
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA today gave its approval for fixation of Nutrient Based Subsidy, NBS rates for Phosphatic and Potassic (P and K) Fertilizers for the year 2020-21.
The approved rates for NBS will be 18 rupees 78 paise per kg for Nitrogen, 14 rupees 88 paise per kg for Phosphorus, 10 rupees 11 paise per kg for Potash and 2 rupees 37 paise per kg for Sulphur.
The CCEA also approved the inclusion of a complex fertilizer namely Ammonium Phosphate under the NBS Scheme.
The expected expenditure for release of subsidy on Phosphorus and Potassium Fertilizers during 2020-21 will be over 22 thousand 186 crore rupees.

Guj govt''s water conservation scheme begins
Amid the lockdown for the coronavirus outbreak, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Tuesday gave the green signal for the third edition of his government''s ''Sujalam Sufalam Jal Sanchay Abhiyan'' , a conservation plan to deepen water bodies in the state before monsoon.
The scheme, which will continue till June 10, 2020 will see the deepening of lakes, check dams and rivers by removing silt, and it will be done with people''s participation as well as under MNREGA.
IREDA to handle CPSU Scheme Phase-II: MNRE
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on its behalf in the amended clause has appointed the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) as the implementing agency to handle the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase-II & all issues regarding the time-extension and dispute resolution on inevitable events.
IREDA will conduct bidding for solar power projects allocation in the Scheme with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) amount as a bid parameter to select project proponents. MNRE will timely review the maximum permissible VGF amount & will reduce if the cost difference comes down.
