Hindon Airport All Set To Operate First Flight
After a long wait, the Hindon airport is ready to operate its first flight on October 11, 2019. District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey informed that the first flight will be to Pithoragarh from Heritage Aviation Company.
The airport has come as a relief for passengers from western Uttar Pradesh as they would not have to travel all the way to Delhi airport to catch flights for certain destinations such as Shimla, Faizabad, Nasik and Hubli.
The airport can handle flights that carry up to 80 passengers. The terminal can accommodate up to 300 passengers at a time.

'Sarbat Da Bhala Express' Train Flagged Off At New Delhi Railway
Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Harsh Vardhan and Harsimrat Kaur Badal flagged off 'Sarbat Da Bhala Express' train at New Delhi railway station.
The renamed New Delhi-Ludhiana Intercity Express will ply from New Delhi to Lohian Khas via holy city Sultanpur Lodhi.
The request to rename the train was made by Mrs Badal on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Purb.

On the second day of nationwide "Paryatan Parv 2019" Shri Yogendra Tripathi , Secretary, Ministry of Tourism in the presence of DG, ASI Smt. Usha Sharma launched the Audio Guide facility Audio Odigos for 12 sites of India(including Iconic Sites).
An MoU for Gol Gumbad, Delhi with Government of Delhi and Resbird Technologies was also exchanged for the development of Tourism Amenities during the programmeat Paryatan Parv New Delhi.

Railway Cleanliness Survey: Jaipur, Jodhpur, Durgapura Emerge Top Three Clean Stations
Three stations in Rajasthan bagged top honours but none in the national capital figured in the top 10 list of railways' cleanliness survey, unveiled by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Among the 109 suburban stations assessed, Andheri, Virar and Naigaon were the top three.
Jaipur, Jodhpur and Durgapura were the top three ranking railway stations among 720 stations.
In the national capital, Anand Vihar Terminal was ranked 26, New Delhi station 165 and Hazrat Nizamuddin stood at 241.
While Sadar Bazar was among the last in the list of clean stations, Delhi Cantonment, Delhi Junction and Shahadra were ranked 389, 390 and 378 respectively.
Vande Bharat Express: Amit Shah Flags Off Delhi-Katra Train
Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the new Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi Railway Station to Vaishno Devi, Katra, Jammu.
Katra is the last station on the way to famous Hindu pilgrimage Vaishno Devi.
The Vande Bharat Express will reduce the journey time between Delhi and Katra by eight hours.
From a usual travel time of 12 hours in this route, Vande Bharat will only take 8 to reach Katra. En route, the train will halt at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi for two minutes each.
During the flagging ceremony, Shah said he was proud that this 'Made in India' train was being flagged-off from New Delhi.

IRCTC To Compensate Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express Passengers For Delay
In a first, IRCTC will compensate passengers of the new Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express in case of delay in the train schedule.
An amount of 100 rupees will be paid in case the delay is for over an hour and 250 rupees for delay of over two hours.
This is the first of its kind offer from any national carrier. It is in addition to the 25-lakh rupees free insurance that will be given to passengers of the train.
The train will be flagged off on 4th October, 2019.
Paryatan Parv Begins To Promote Tourism
The nationwide Paryatan Parv, 2019 kick-started to promote tourism in the country which will continue till 13th October, 2019.
The aim is to propagate the message of Dekho Apna Desh to encourage people to visit tourist destinations of the country and also spread the message of Tourism for All.
The Parv was jointly inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Tourism Minister Prahalad Singh Patel at Rajpath Lawns in New Delhi.
The Delhi leg of the Parv will continue till 6th October 2019. This year's event is dedicated to 150th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Northeast to Introduce Seaplanes to Boost Tourism
Airport Authority of India (AAI) will introduce water aerodrome or seaplanes in three locations in Assam for the first time.
The main aim is to introduce water aerodrome or seaplanes in three locations in Assam. To boost tourism and connectivity, three riverfronts were selected in Assam to introduce the water based ferry for the first time in India,
The water aerodrome or seaplane services would be launched in Brahmaputra river and Umrangso reservoir. The three locations selected for the seaplanes include Guwahati, Umrangso (in Dima Hasao district) and the famous Kaziranga National Park.
