World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. First held in 1974, it has been a platform for raising awareness on environmental issue such as marine pollution, human overpopulation, global warming, sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. World Environment Day is a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, the program has provided a theme and forum for businesses, non-government organizations, communities, governments and celebrities to advocate environmental causes.
Each year the World Environment Day is hosted by a country every year. Pakistan hosted the World Environment Day 2021 in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme.
The theme for World Environment Day 2021 was 'Ecosystem restoration'.

International Day of Innocent and Children Victims of Aggression

International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is a United Nations observance held on June 4 every year. It was established on 19 August 1982.
Originally focused on victims of the 1982 Lebanon War, its purpose expanded to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse. This day affirms the UN's commitment to protect the rights of children.

World Health Assembly Adopts Decision to Recognize 30 January as World NTD Day

The 74th World Health Assembly endorsed a decision recognising 30th January as World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day ('World NTD Day'). World NTD Day commemorates the simultaneous launch of the first NTD road map and the London Declaration on NTDs on 30 January 2012. For countries where neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are prevalent and for the global community of partners, this is a new dawn.

Telangana Formation Day

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of the State Formation Day.
Telangana Day commonly known as Telangana Formation Day is a state holiday in the Indian state of Telangana, commemorating the formation of the state of Telangana. It is observed annually on 2nd June since 2014.
The state of Telangana was officially formed on 2nd June 2014. Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao was elected as the first Chief Minister of Telangana, following elections in which the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party secured a majority.

Global Day of Parents

Global Day of Parents is observed on 1st June annually to honour parents and their commitments to children across the world. It is a United Nations (UN) observance day. The day provides us an opportunity to appreciate parents and parental figures for the important role that they play in the development of families.
The day pays respect and appreciates parents what they do for their children, their selfless commitment to children, and their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship.
Global Day of Parents was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2012 with a resolution and honour parents throughout the world.
