Government of Haryana and Reliance Jio TV Partner to Educate 52 Lakh Students
Kanwar Pal, Education Minister of Haryana announced that The Government of Haryana under the Chief Minister's Distance Education Programme signed an agreement with Reliance Jio TV to benefit around 52 lakh rural students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The four channels of EDUSAT can be accessed through television, Laptop, desktop, tablets and smartphones for free of cost which will be available on the Jio platform.
The contents aired on the television will be available on Jio TV for a week so that the students can access the content to their convenience and time.
This will also provide materials for the students preparing for competitive exams like JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).

NTA Launches 'National Test Abhyas' App, Has Questions in Hindi
The National Test Abhyas app, launched by National Testing Agency (NTA) has come up with new offers for students. The app offers JEE, NEET mock tests that will now provide the questions in the Hindi language too. Earlier, the app only had questions in the English language.
Students can now download the app from Google Play Store. Those who are already using the app will have to update their app from Google Play Store to avail the new feature of Hindi questions.
The National Test Abhyas app provides free mock tests to the JEE and NEET aspirants.
Students get one full-length question paper for JEEmain, advanced and NEETexams daily.
The duration to attempt the questions is of three hours.

IIT-Delhi, United Nations to Offer Research-based Solution to Storage, Supply of Food Grains
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) India and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have collaborated to develop innovative solutions for the government's food safety nets through operations research. The collaboration aims to support governments in achieving food and nutrition security targets.
The overall objective of this partnership is to use advanced analytics and operations research to develop practical solutions that support long-term strategic planning of procurement, storage, and movement of food grains by agencies such as the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and at the same time create cost-effective supply chain networks for distribution of these food grains under the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) at the state level.
Through their research, both IIT-Delhi and WFP will work with the state and central government. The IIT and UN aim to optimise the supply chain and analyse important operational data such as current stocks, projected harvest yields and consumption figures. Through this research, the institutes will identify the challenges and offer solutions.

The first disease diagnostics lab in India is now ready.
The mobile laboratory is a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.
The laboratory promotes and supports the idea of being self-efficient in difficult times.
The laboratory has been reported to be built in the recorded time of just 8 days from the date of receipt of Automotive Chassis, from Bharat Benz.
The lab has been built with the support of the Department of Bio-Technology.

IIT Madras Best for Engineering: NIRF Ranking 2020
According to the NIRF Ranking 2020, IIT Madras has been ranked as India's best engineering college while IIM Ahmedabad has been judged as best for doing an MBA. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay have been ranked second and third among engineering colleges.
In the overall ranking released under HRD Ministry's National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), IIT Madras, IISc Bangalore and IIT Delhi bagged the top three positions among educational institutions.
IISc Bangalore, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Banaras Hindu University have bagged the top 3 university positions.
Among B-schools, IIM Ahmedabad is ranked at the top followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta.
