Global Tiger Day

Global Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29. The day aims to unite all tiger range countries in an effort to enhance their conservation and management worldwide.
Global Tiger Day, also known as International Tiger Day, began in 2010. It was created during the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit in Russia. Thirteen tiger-range countries united to address shrinking tiger numbers.
This year (2025), the theme is 'Securing the future of Tigers with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities at the heart'.

World Nature Conservation Day

World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on July 28. It serves as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility towards the environment. This global event emphasises the critical need for preserving natural resources and protecting our planet's delicate ecosystems.

World IVF Day

World IVF Day is a global healthcare event observed on July 25, commemorating the incredible scientific strides and progress made in the field of infertility and reproductive endocrinology.
It marks the anniversary of the first successful birth of Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby, through in vitro fertilisation (IVF) in 1978.

International Day for Judicial Well-being

Income Tax Day

India celebrated Income Tax Day, marking the 166th anniversary of the introduction of income tax in the country. Celebrated every year on July 24, the day acknowledges the evolution of India's tax system and its pivotal role in nation-building.
Income tax was first introduced in India on this day in 1860 by British economist Sir James Wilson to counter the financial strain caused by the First War of Independence in 1857. The framework laid then eventually culminated in the Income Tax Act of 1922 and later the comprehensive Income Tax Act of 1961, which still governs the taxation system in the country today.
