World Thyroid Day is observed globally on 25 May every year.
The main purpose of the WTD is to aware of the importance of Thyroid and the prevention and treatment of thyroid diseases.
This day is established in 2008 as a part of the campaign led by European Thyroid Association (ETA) and the American Thyroid Association (ATA) followed by Latin American Thyroid Society (LATS) and Asia Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA) to commemorate the patients with Thyroid diseases and doctors and physicians who treat them.
International Missing Children's Day
International Missing Children's Day is an international day celebrated on May 25, the same day as the United States' National Missing Children's Day designated by Ronald Reagan in 1983.
In 2020, on International Missing Children's Day, FIFA is came together with over 170 football clubs across six continents to support a new initiative that hopes to help find vulnerable young people.
Each club, as well as FIFA, has volunteered to use their social media channels to share videos featuring children who are currently missing all over the world.
The 'Football Cares' Initiative is being run by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) and also supported by the European Club Association (ECA).
