UN Russian Language Day
UN Russian Language Day is observed annually on June 6. The event was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 2010. UN Russian Language Day coincides with the birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin, a Russian poet who is considered the father of modern Russian language.
The initiative of the UN Language Days was launched in February 2010 in order to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity and to promote equal use of all six of the UN's official working languages throughout the organisation.

World Environment Day
World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on 5th June every year, and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
World Environment Day was established in 1972 by the United Nations on the first day of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment, resulting from discussions on the integration of human interactions and the environment. Two years later, in 1974 the first WED was held with the theme "Only One Earth".
World Environment Day is promoted by the United Nation and for 2020 Colombia is host the World Environment Day. In 2019, China was the host country. World Environment Day is also known as Environment Day, Eco Day.
Each year WED has a theme and the theme for 2020 is "Time for Nature", and is hosted in Colombia in partnership with Germany.
Colombia is one of the largest "Megadiverse" nations in the world to hold 10% of the planet's biodiversity. Since it is part of the Amazon rain forest, Colombia ranks first in bird and orchid species diversity and second in plants, butterflies, freshwater fish, and amphibians.

International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression
International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed on June 4.
The main aim behind observing this day is to acknowledge the pain suffered by children across the world, which is caused due to any kind of abuse including physical, mental and emotional.
The day came into being in a special United Nations General Assembly session, which was held to discuss the condition of Palestine.
It was during this session that took place on August 19, 1982 that the organisation asserted that it is "appalled at the great number of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese children victims of Israel's acts of aggression". This came after the Lebanon War which took place in 1982 and had a huge number of child victims.
India to Join UK-drove Virtual Global Vaccine Summit
India is among over 50 countries and organisations confirmed to participate in the UK-led virtual Global Vaccine Summit to be hosted by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Organisers of the summit said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi or a high-level Indian representative is expected to participate live or with a pre-recorded message along with at least 35 heads of state or government at the event, which aims to raise at least USD 7.4 billion for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, in additional resources to protect future generations with vaccines and reduce disease inequality.
Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, is a United Nations-backed organisation which coordinates vaccinations across the world.

World Bicycle Day
In April 2018, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 3 as International World Bicycle Day.
The resolution for World Bicycle Day recognizes "the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the Bicycle, which has been in use for two centuries, and that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport."
World Bicycle Day is now being associated with promoting a healthy lifestyle for those with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
