Nation celebrates Ayushman Bharat Diwas on 30th April. The day aims to promote affordable medical facilities in remote areas of the country based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census database. It also promotes health and wellness and provide insurance benefits to the poor.
Ayushman Bharat is a flagship scheme of Government of India which was launched as recommended by the National Health Policy in 2017 to achieve the vision of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This initiative was taken to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its underlining commitment which is to "leave no one behind." This scheme aims to undertake path-breaking interventions to holistically address and promote the healthcare system at the primary, secondary and tertiary level in India.

International Dance Day
International Dance Day is celebrated on April 29 every year. In 1982, the International Dance Day was first celebrated marking the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of modern ballet. International Dance Day was started to spread the message of the benefits of dance, celebrate dance and bring people together. This universal form of performing arts cuts across political, cultural and ethnic barriers. Jean-Georges Noverre, the French choreographer's treatise, Lettres sur la danse et sur les ballets, written in 1760, is still valid and revered by modern dancers.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated every year on 28th April to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally.
In 2003, the International Labour Organization (ILO), began to observe World Day in order to stress the prevention of accidents and diseases at work, capitalizing on the ILO's traditional strengths of tripartism and social dialogue.
This celebration is an integral part of the Global Strategy on Occupational Safety and Health of the ILO, as documented in the Conclusions of the International Labour Conference in June 2003. One of the main pillars of the Global Strategy is advocacy, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a significant tool to raise awareness of how to make work safe and healthy and of the need to raise the political profile of occupational safety and health.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021 focuses on leveraging the elements of an OSH system as set out in the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187).

World Intellectual Property Day
World Intellectual Property Day is observed annually on 26 April.
The event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 to "raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life" and "to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe".
26 April was chosen as the date for World Intellectual Property Day because it coincides with the date on which the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization entered into force in 1970.
International Delegate's Day
International Delegate's Day marks the anniversary of the first day of the San Francisco Conference, also known as the United Nations Conference on International Organization. On 25 April 1945, delegates from fifty countries came together for the first time in San Francisco. Coming together after the devastation of the second world war, their aim was to set up an organization that would restore world peace and impose rules on the post-war world order.
850 delegates took part in this conference, which lasted for two months. They represented over eighty per cent of the world's population, people of every world religion and continent; all determined to set up an organization, which would preserve peace and help build a better world.
Mahavir Jayanti celebrated across the country
Mahavir Jayanti, the birth anniversary of 24th and last Jain Tirthankar Bhagwan Mahavir was celebrated across the country. Mahavir Jayanti is considered to be one of the most auspicious events for Jain community and holds a lot of importance in their religious life.
President Ram Nath Kovind has extended heartfelt greetings to all countrymen, especially the Jain community, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti today. He said, Lord Mahavira showed humanity a new path through the ideals of 'Non-Violence', 'Ahimsa Paramo Dharma:' and 'Live and let live'. Mr. Kovind urged everyone to follow Lord Mahavir's teachings and pledge to defeat Covid-19 on the basis of collective discipline.

World Malaria Day
World Malaria Day, annual observance held on April 25 to raise awareness of the global effort to control and ultimately eradicate malaria. World Malaria Day, which was first held in 2008, developed from Africa Malaria Day, an event that had been observed since 2001 by African governments. In 2007, at the 60th session of the World Health Assembly (a meeting sponsored by the World Health Organization, it was proposed that Africa Malaria Day be changed to World Malaria Day to recognize the existence of malaria in countries worldwide and to bring greater awareness to the global fight against the disease.
The theme for World Malaria Day 2021 is 'Reaching the zero malaria target.'
