Former Indian Air Rifle Shooter Pournima Zanane, an International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF)-licensed coach passed away at the age of 42 in Pune, Maharashtra.
She started as a shooter in Mumbai and represented India in numerous ISSF World Cups, Asian Championships, Commonwealth Championships.
She holds a national record in the 10 m air rifle event.
She started coaching shooters in 2012 and she was the coach of the shooters team of Sri Lanka.
She assisted World Champion Farnik Thomas (Austrian Shooter) in 2014.
She was honoured with Shiv Chhatrapati Sports award for 2018-2019 in February 2020 by the government of Maharashtra.
Ronaldo Becomes Leading Portuguese Scorer in Serie A
Cristiano Ronaldo became the leading Portuguese scorer in the history of Serie A.
He achieved the feat in Juventus` match against Bologna. Ronaldo scored off a penalty in the first half and as a result, he became the leading Portuguese scorer. With this goal, Ronaldo surpassed Rui Costa to achieve the feat.
Ronaldo so far has 43 goals in his Serie A career for Juventus. Juventus defeated Bologna 2-0 and as a result of this win, the side has gone four points clear at the top of the Serie A standings. The goal was Ronaldo`s 22nd in the current season of Serie A.
Ronaldo also remains the top Portuguese scorer in Premier League history having scored 84 times in 196 appearances. He is the also the leading Portuguese scorer in La Liga history having registered 311 goals in 292 appearances for Real Madrid.

Rajinder Goel, Who Played for Haryana, Punjab and Delhi Passes Away
Former left-arm spin legend Rajinder Goel, whose record Ranji Trophy wicket haul of 637 scalps still stands, passed away in Rohtak. He was 77. Goel, who played for Haryana, Punjab and Delhi, was a towering presence in domestic cricket during a 25-year first-class career that began in the 1958-59 Ranji season and extended until 1984-85, when he was 42. Goel finished with 750 first-class wickets.
Goel and contemporary left-arm spinner, Padmakar Shivalkar of Mumbai, dominated batsmen in the domestic circuit for three decades. They were unlucky their careers ran parallel to that of Bishan Singh Bedi, who formed the famous spin quartet with off-spinners Erapalli Prasanna and S Venkataraghavan, and leg-spinner Bhagwat Chandrasekhar.
Although Goel and Shivalkar were two of the finest spinners produced by India never to play for the country, their longevity and sustained success attested to their class.

Niki Kalayanda Poonacha Elected to ITF Men's Tennis Panel
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced, 25 years old Niki Kalyanda Poonacha, National Champion of India as a member of the ITF World Tennis Tour Men's Panel representing the Asia-Oceania zone with Ti Chen of Chinese Taipei.
In addition to Niki and Ti Chen, the members of the Men's tennis panel include Juan Pablo Paz & Jose Bendeck representing South America, Aldin Sektic & Francesco Vilardo representing Europe.
The panel has an option to appoint additional members if they fulfill the regional and ranking requirements.
The Women's panel includes, Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan and Olivia Tjandramulia of Australia representing Asia-Oceania, Ines Ibbou of Algeria representing Africa, Petra Januskova of Canada representing North and Central America – Caribbean,Yuliana Lizarazo of Colombia representing South America and Tara Moore of Great Britain and Conny Perrin of Switzerland representing Europe.
The Men's and Women's Panel will be headed by Mark Woodforde and Mary Pierce respectively who are the athlete representatives on the ITF board of directors.

BCCI to Review IPL Sponsorship Deal with Vivo
The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has decided to review IPL sponsorship deals, including one with Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Vivo, after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh.
Taking note of the border skirmish that resulted in the martyrdom of Indian soldiers, the IPL Governing Council has convened a meeting next week to review IPL's various sponsorship deals.
The meeting of the IPL Governing Council will review the yearly Rs. 440 crore title sponsorship deal with Vivo among others.
For those unaware, Vivo is the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League.
In 2017, Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Vivo had retained the title sponsorship rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a period of five years.

India Clubbed with Korea Republic, Australia, Uzbekistan for AFC U-16 Championship 2020
The Indian Under-16 football team is clubbed alongside Korea Republic, Australia and Uzbekistan in Group C for the upcoming 2020 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Championship in Bahrain.
The group was made at the official draw for the tournament at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.
India had earlier made it to the main event of the AFC U-16 Championship when they made a top-place finish in qualifiers in Group B, which also consisteed of Uzbekistan (hosts), Bahrain and Turkmenistan.
The Indian colts finished with a total of seven points from three matches after scoring 11 goals and conceding a single goal.
This was India's third consecutive qualification to the AFC U-16 finals and ninth overall, the official statement from the AFC said.
The four teams who make it to the semi-finals of the competition will earn a direct qualification into the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2021.
