SC Approves CBSE, ICSE's Evaluation Criteria for Class 12
The Supreme Court dismissed the petitions challenging the CBSE and the CICSE's decision to cancel Class 12 board examinations and also approved the assessment schemes proposed by the boards to evaluate students.
The top court dismissed all challenges to the assessment policies framed by the CBSE and the ICSE to evaluate class 12 students after the cancellation of exams due to coronavirus.
The top court upheld the submissions of the Attorney General, representing the Centre, that the schemes have been formulated by expert body. The bench said that all aspects were taken into account and decision regarding formulation of scheme was taken with holistic approach, to ensure that no candidate is prejudiced.

Haryana Includes Yoga in Govt. School Curriculum
Addressing an event on the occasion of International Yoga Day, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that yoga has been included in the school curriculum for classes 1 to 10 from the current academic session.
In December, the Haryana government had announced that yoga would be included as a separate subject in all government schools from the next academic session.

Jamia Hamdard Organises Webinar on 'Effective Communication Skills'
Hamdard Institute of Legal Studies and Research (HILSR), Jamia Hamdard hosted a National Webinar on the topic 'Effective Communication Skills: Bridging the Gap' via Google Meet and YouTube Live.
The webinar was organised by Dr Mehar Fatima wherein the keynote speaker for the webinar was Prof. (Dr.) Shrimathy Venkatalakshmi (HOD, Dept. Of English, Anna University, Chennai).
The webinar was divided into 3 sessions: Inaugural, Session 1, Session 2 followed by audience interaction, e felicitation, and vote of thanks. The national Webinar was attended not only by students and scholars from India but also internationally, with over 150+ registrations. It was flooded with positive feedback, and therefore it was the culmination of valuable teachings and an unforgettable learning experience for the participants.

IIM-Ahmedabad Launches New Centre for Leadership and Organisational Development
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) announces launch the Ashank Desai Centre for Leadership and Organisational Development (ADCLOD). The centre has a group of 12 faculty members from varied disciplines such as communication, education, economics, human resource management, law, organisational behaviour, and strategy who are working on leadership and organisational development issues.
The centre plans to organise various events such as workshops, speaker series, panel discussions and annual leadership summit. It will also offer training, research, and consulting services to leaders at various levels in Indian and multinational organisations.

XLRI among Top Global Business Schools in Positive Impact Rankings
The 2021 edition of the Positive Impact Rating for business schools, or PIR, which was launched at the United Nations PRME Global Forum, featured three business schools from India, all of them in the top tier.
The PIR is a student-led rating that reflects the positive social impact of the school as seen and evaluated by its students. It measures how business schools contribute to solving societal challenges by energizing the school and its culture.
Forty-seven schools located in four continents and 21 countries participated in the ratings. XLRI- Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, Goa Institute of Management, and SP Jain Institute of Research and Management were featured as a level 5 or pioneering business schools in the Positive Impact Rating 2021.
