Robert Lewandowski Wins FIFA Best Men's Player, Erik Lamela Gets Puskas Award

Bayern Munich's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Best Men's Player award for 2021 with Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas winning the FIFA Best Women's Player prize.
The prolific Lewandowski won the award for the second straight year after a season in which he beat Gerd Mueller's 49-year old record of 40 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign.
Putellas was at the heart of the Barcelona women's team, which won the Spanish league and the UEFA Champions League.

NIRAMAI & InnAccel Receive Global Women's Health Tech Awards

DBT-BIRAC supported start-ups, NIRAMAI Health Analytix Pvt Ltd, and InnAccel Technologies Pvt Ltd received World Bank Group and Consumer Technology Association's Global Women's Health Tech Awards. The award recognizes innovative start-ups that leverage tech to improve women's health and safety. NIRAMAI Health Analytix was selected for early-stage breast cancer medical device. InnAccel was selected for Fetal Lite, AI-powered fetal heart rate (FHR) monitor.
The award recognises innovative startups that use technology to improve women's health and safety in emerging markets. Launched in August 2021, the Awards attracted over 70 companies from 35 countries, which submitted their innovative products and services under three categories: reproductive health and pregnancy, general women's and adolescent health, and women safety and security.

National Award for E-Governance

National Award for e-Governance 2020-21 (Silver) was conferred to Mon District Administration of Nagaland.
Award was presented at 24th National Conference on e-Governance at Hyderabad.
Award was handed over to Deputy Commissioner of Mon district, Thavasselan K, by union Minister of State (MoS) Dr. Jitendra Singh.
The National Award for e-Governance was presented under the category 6 of "Use of ICT in the Management of Covid-19" to Mon district. It was aimed at recognizing the initiatives undertaken by district administration.
Project titled "Technology in Aid to Administration" was initiated in Mon district, for mitigating the hardships caused to public while enforcing Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) to restrict the spread of infections. This project is helping in reducing hardship of people, keeping people safe from Covid and increasing effectiveness of administration.

Clive Lloyd Awarded Knighthood for His Services to Cricket

Clive Lloyd, the former Captain of the West Indies Cricket team, was given the honour of knighthood for his services to the game of Cricket. The investiture was performed by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle. The Cricket West Indies (CWI) also congratulated Clive Llyod on receiving the knighthood.
One of the most significant contributions of Clive Lloyd to West Indies cricket was the winning of the inaugural Cricket World Cup tournament in 1975. It was under Lloyd's Captaincy that West Indies lifted the trophy against Australia.
Clive was also the first West Indian player to earn 100 international caps. He captained the West Indies cricket team in three World Cups, winning in 1975 and 1979 while losing in the 1983 final to India under Kapil Dev's leadership.

HDFC Bank Adjudged 'Best Private Bank in India' at the Global Private Banking Awards 2021

HDFC Bank was adjudged Best Private Bank in India at the Global Private Banking Awards 2021, organised by Professional Wealth Management (PWM).
For the Global Private Banking Awards 2021, PWM received over 120 submissions which were reviewed by a panel of 16 judged from four continents.
HDFC Bank Private Banking, part of India's largest privately-owned bank, provides customers with a product suite across all asset classes for "optimal asset allocation" depending on clients' risk profiles and goals.

Actress Harshaali Malhotra Awarded 12th Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award 2022

The 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame actress, Harshaali Malhotra was awarded the 12th Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award 2022. She received the award from Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra, for her commendable performance in the movie and contribution in the field of Indian Cinema. The Government of Maharashtra organised the Bharat Ranta Dr. Ambedkar national Awards 2022 ceremony in the memory of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar as a part of the upcoming 73rd Republic Day.
