Harmanpreet Kaur Becomes First Visiting Batter to Slam 3 ODI Centuries in England

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur became the first visiting batter to score three Women's ODI centuries in England. She achieved this feat in her outing against England in the 3rd ODI at Riverside Ground.
Kaur smashed bowlers all over the Riverside Ground and completed 4000 ODI runs, becoming only the third Indian woman batter to slam 4000 runs behind Smriti Mandhana and legendary Mithali Raj.

The 15th DGC Junior/Sub-Junior Golf Tournament 2025 Kickstarts in Delhi

The 15^th Delhi Golf Club (DGC) Junior/Sub-Junior Golf Tournament 2025, started at the iconic Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi.
Over 180 golfers, aged between 6 and 22 years, are participating in this three-day, 18-holes-per-day tournament played on both the Lodhi and Peacock Courses.
A test of skill, focus, and grit, the tournament saw some of India's most promising young golfers in action.

England to Host Next Three WTC Finals

In a major development for international cricket, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was awarded the hosting rights for the next three ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Finals—scheduled in 2027, 2029, and 2031. This announcement was made during the ICC Annual Conference 2025, held in Singapore, affirming ECB's consistency in successfully managing previous finals, including those in 2021, 2023, and 2025. This move strengthens England's position as a premier destination for global cricketing events.
The World Test Championship was launched by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to revive and add context to Test cricket. It features a two-year league cycle where the top teams compete for a place in the WTC Final.

In a landmark moment for Indian chess, four Indian women entered the quarter-finals of the FIDE Women's World Cup, being held in Batumi, Georgia, for the very first time. With only eight players left in the competition, India remarkably accounts for half of the remaining field.
Grandmaster Koneru Humpy, one of India's most experienced campaigners, remained rock solid throughout her match against Switzerland's Alexandra Kosteniuk.
Facing China's top seed Zhu Jiner, Divya Deshmukh stunned the favourite with a confident and fearless display, securing her spot in the last eight.
Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli edged out the Russian player. Grandmaster R Vaishali's journey to the quarters was the most dramatic of the lot.

Kho Kho Expands Global Presence with Debut in Singapore

In a step toward globalising one of India's oldest indigenous sports, Kho Kho made its debut in Singapore, marking an iconic day for the sport in the country.
An exhibition match was played between the Kho Kho Association of Singapore and the Kho Kho Association of Malaysia.
The landmark event was organised by the Asian Kho Kho Federation (AKKF) in association with the Kho Kho Association of Singapore (KKAS) at Jurong West Secondary School, Singapore.

Olympian Antim Panghal and Harshita clinched gold medals following their remarkable victories in their respective weight categories at the Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Memorial 2025 wrestling tournament in Budapest.
Antim overwhelmed Russia's Natalia Malysheva with a 7-4 victory in the 53Kg final. Her emphatic triumph marked her second gold of the year after her success at the Ulaanbaatar Open in May.
Harshita in the 72kg category conquered four-time Asian champion Zhamila Bakbergenova of Kazakhstan in the final round.

Sujeet Kalkal Strikes Gold at Budapest Wrestling Ranking Series

Indian wrestler Sujeet Kalkal clinched the gold medal in the 65kg men's freestyle category at the Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Memorial 2025 wrestling tournament in Budapest, Hungary.
In the final of the 65kg men's freestyle category, Sujeet defeated four-time European medallist Ali Rahimzade of Azerbaijan 5-1.

With six competing teams, marquee players, celebrity franchise owners, and India's fastest-growing sport at its core, World Pickleball League Season 2 will be the first-ever franchise sports league to be held at Jio World Garden, affirming its rising stature and ambition to deliver a premium, fan-first experience.

New Swimming Benchmarks Set by Srihari Nataraj and B. Benediction Rohit

India marked a significant milestone at the 32^nd edition of FISU World University Games 2025, held in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, as swimmers Srihari Nataraj and B. Benediction Rohit achieved record-breaking performances in their respective events. These achievements highlight India's growing presence in international swimming competitions and contribute to the country's expanding sports excellence profile.
Srihari Nataraj broke his own Best Indian Performance in the men's 200m freestyle by clocking 1:48.22, surpassing his earlier mark of 1:48.66. Similarly, Benediction Rohit created history by becoming the first Indian male swimmer to complete 50m butterfly in under 24 seconds, registering a time of 23.96 seconds in the semi-finals.

Bihar Wins U18 Boys' Title at Junior National Rugby 7s Championship 2025

Bihar's rugby team clinched the U18 Boys' title at the 10th Junior National Rugby 7s Championship 2025, held in Dehradun, with a narrow 17–15 victory over defending champions Odisha. With this win, Bihar completed a double title sweep, having also won the Girls' U18 championship earlier.
The Junior National Rugby 7s Championship is India's premier youth rugby tournament and a critical stage for identifying future national-level talent.
