Anahat Singh & Kareem El Torkey Win Indian Open 2025 Squash Titles

  • The Indian Open 2025 PSA Copper event, held at Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai, saw Anahat Singh and Kareem El Torkey clinch the women's and men's singles titles, respectively. This was Anahat Singh's 11th PSA title, reinforcing her dominance as India's number one-ranked women's squash player. Meanwhile, Egypt's Kareem El Torkey, ranked world no. 64, triumphed over India's Abhay Singh in the men's final. Bihar's Rajgir to Host 2025 Asia Cup

  • Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar will host its second international tournament as Hockey India awarded the Bihar State Sports Authority the hosting rights for the Men's Asia Cup 2025.
  • The tournament comprising of eight teams will be played from August 29 to September 7 at the newly developed Sports Complex in Rajgir.
  • Pakistan, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, China along with hosts India will make the six teams in the 12th edition of the continental tournament. The remaining two teams will secure their berth in the tournament via qualifying tournament, the AHF Cup.
  • The tournament will serve as the qualifiers for the 2026 Hockey World Cup set to be hosted in the Netherlands and Belgium. The winner of the tournament will directly qualify for Hockey WC.

Asian Games Medallist Narender Leads Indian Team at World Boxing Cup in Brazil

  • Asian Games bronze medallist Narender Berwal headed a 10-member Indian men's boxing team that was handed a mixed draw at the inaugural World Boxing Cup in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, which concludes on April 5.
  • This is the first event hosted by World Boxing since receiving provisional recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in February and the inclusion of the sport in the 2028 LA Olympics.
  • It is the first time Indian boxers compete internationally in the new weight categories introduced by World Boxing.
