Scheduled just ahead of the Summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Eights International teams will compete in matches, which will be held from January 15 to 21, 2024. The teams will compete to book three tickets for the upcoming Olympics.
Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan Join ISPl as Owners of Kolkata Team
After Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan became team owners in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).
Earlier, Amitabh became the owner of Mumbai team in the first edition of the ISPL. Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay owns the Srinagar team in the league.
Kareena and Saif announced that they became owners of the Kolkata team in the ISPL.
The ISPL is India's first tennis ball T10 cricket tournament that will be played inside a stadium. It will feature 19 matches, with a line-up of six teams – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar.

Bajrang Punia, Antim Panghal out of Zagreb Open
India will go unrepresented in five categories at the upcoming Zagreb Open in Croatia from January 10 to 14 as Bajrang Punia, Antim Panghal and three others didn't give consent for their selection to the ad hoc panel that announced a 13-member team.
World Championships bronze medallist Panghal made herself unavailable as she wants to attend the national sports awards ceremony where she will be conferred with the Arjuna Award.
Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang said that he has not yet started mat training and had undergone a thumb surgery.

Australian Batter David Warner Announces Retirement from ODIs
David Warner announced his retirement from ODI cricket. The veteran put forth his decision two days before playing his farewell Test match against Pakistan to be played at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The left-handed opener compiled 6,932 runs in 161 ODIs at an average of 45.30, at a strike rate of 97.26. Warner has also registered 22 centuries and 33 fifties in the format, with the best score of 179.
Warner retires as the sixth-highest run-scorer in Australian ODI history, having amassed 6,932 runs from his 161 matches. His 22 centuries are the second most by any Australian ODI player, behind only Ricky Ponting, who made 29 in 105 more innings than Warner played.

Multiple World Championship medallist Vinesh Phogat returned her Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award, keeping the two awards lying in the middle of National Capital's Kartavya Path after Delhi Police stopped her from reaching the Prime Minister's Office.
Earlier the Asian Games gold medallist grappler had decided to return her Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award to the government, saying such honours have become meaningless at a time when wrestlers are struggling to get justice.
Savita Punia to Lead India in Olympics Qualifiers in Ranchi
Veteran goalkeeper Savita Punia will continue to lead side and Vandana Katariya will be her deputy as Hockey India named an 18-member Indian women's team for the Olympic Qualifiers scheduled to be held in Ranchi from January 13 to 19.
India will take the field in Ranchi looking to finish as one of the top three teams in the competition and secure qualification for the Paris Olympics 2024.
India will open their campaign against the United States on January 13, followed by a match against New Zealand on January 14. They will go up against Italy in the last Pool B match on January 16.
