Pakistan will launch an indigenously developed observatory satellite next month which can be used to study various features of Earth, determine mineral deposits and impacts of climate change.
Fitted with sensors and cameras, the 285 kg satellite named PakTES-1A will remain stationary 610 km in space and its position relative to the Sun will not change.

Audio equipment manufacturer Bose has now launched a rather unconventional "noise masking" wireless earbuds, called ''Sleepbuds.'' The Sleepbuds are said to block out all forms of external noise such as traffic, loud neighbours and even snoring to help you sleep.
These Sleepbuds come pre-loaded with 10 soothing sounds, some optimized for masking and others for relaxation, all claimed to help you sleep.

Google introduced a new feature for its Android devices that would let users in India and several other countries surf the web without a constant Internet connection.
When you're connected to free, unmetered WiFi, Chrome will automatically download relevant articles, based on what content is most popular in your location.
The automatically downloaded content would be available alongside all of the downloaded content available for access anytime, even without an Internet connection.
Users who update to the latest version of Chrome on Android in Google Play Store would be able to use this feature.

First Ancient Syphilis Genomes Decoded
An international research team has recovered the first historic genomes from the bacterium Treponema pallidum, which causes syphilis. It was previously not thought possible to recover DNA of this bacterium from ancient samples. In the study, the researchers were able to distinguish genetically between the subspecies of the disease that cause syphilis and that cause yaws, which are not readily distinguishable in skeletal remains.

In the run up to offering better service to consumers, the Facebook-owned chat messenger will reportedly stop working on a host of devices.
Following is the freshly updated list: Android versions older than 2.3.3, Windows Phone 8.0 and older, iPhone 3GS/iOS 6, Nokia Symbian S60, BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10
