A new "secret" planetary system that includes three super-earths and one outer giant planet has been discovered at a distance of just 21 light years from Earth.
The system named HD219134, in the constellation Cassiopeia hosts one outer giant planet and three inner super-earths, one of which transits in front of the star.
The transiting super-earth has a density similar to the Earth's. It is by far the closest transiting planet known today

NASA Captures Earth Flyby of Space Peanut
NASA scientists have captured a peanut-shaped asteroid that approached close to Earth last weekend. The next time an asteroid will approach Earth this close will be in 2054.
The asteroid named 1999 JD6 appears to be a contact binary -- an asteroid with two lobes that are stuck together.
In July the asteroid had made its closest approach to Earth at a distance of about 7.2 million km.

Distant Uranus-Sized Exoplanet Discovered
Astronomers have confirmed the existence of a Uranus-sized exoplanet orbiting far from its central star, discovered through a technique called gravitational microlensing.
Nasa's Hubble Space Telescope and the W M Keck Observatory in Hawaii made independent confirmations of the exoplanet orbiting far from its central star.

Unusual Red Arcs on Icy Saturn Moon
NASA's Cassini spacecraft has spotted unexplained arc-shaped, reddish streaks on the surface of Saturn's icy moon Tethys.
The red arcs are narrow, curved lines on the moon's surface, and are among the most unusual colour features on Saturn's moons to be revealed by Cassini's cameras.
It is surprising how extensive these features are.
The origin of the features and their reddish color is a mystery to Cassini scientists.
Strongest Aurora Found Beyond Solar System
Astronomers have discovered the first aurora that is 10,000 times more powerful than any previously seen beyond the solar system.
The aurora, similar to the famous "Northern Lights" on Earth, was found not from a planet but from a low-mass star at the boundary between stars and brown dwarfs.
The discovery reveals a major difference between the magnetic activity of more-massive stars and that of brown dwarfs and planets.

Windows 10 Rolled Out
Microsoft Corporation has rolled out its new operating Windows 10 system in Japan.
Replete with a redesigned web browser called Edge and Cortana, a Siri-like voice activated assistant, Microsoft is looking to recapture some of the market share lost to rivals Apple and Google and lay to rest the ghosts associated with its 2012 Windows 8 system.
Microsoft, while retaining some of the features of its unpopular Windows 8, such as "live tiles" for touch-based computing, the company decided to forego the release of a 9th version and jumped straight to the release of 10.
