Dubai Sports Council Appoint Harbhajan & Sania Mirza as Ambassadors

  • The Dubai Sports Council appointed four global sports icons as its Sports Ambassadors. This initiative aims to enhance Dubai's reputation as a global sports destination and strengthen its sports ecosystem by attracting prestigious international events, nurturing local talent, and promoting sports tourism.
  • The four ambassadors are Harbhajan Singh (Former Indian cricketer), Sania Mirza (Former Indian tennis player), Khabib Nurmagomedov (Russian UFC champion) and Patrice Evra (French footballer).
  • The appointments were made in the presence of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai Sports Council.

India Refuses to Send Kabaddi Team to Pakistan

  • Just days after denying the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) permission to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, the Indian government now refused to approve the Kabaddi federation's request to participate in a series of friendly games in Pakistan. The move reiterates India's stance on not participating in any sporting activity on Pakistan soil. The last time the Indian cricket team travelled to Pakistan was back in 2008 for the Asia Cup.

Anshul Kamboj Scripts History, Picks 10 Wickets in an Innings
