Arshdeep Singh Kochar - Some say that the Internet is making the world smaller by bringing people together. To what extent do to you agree that the Internet is making it easier for people to communicate with one another? Yes, I do agree that the internet is making it easier for people to communicate with one another. If we talk about in terms of reach we can say that Internet is making the world smaller by bringing people together, but if we talk in terms of growth then we can say that the world is becoming bigger and bigger. Internet, definitely is a boon for the mankind. As man is a social animal so communication is one of the basic needs of humans. As internet is making communication easier and quicker so it definitely is helping us develop. If we take an example of e-mails, that how they have almost replaced the physical post system. Earlier a letter or a message to reach thousands of miles would have taken days but now it reaches the reciever with a click of a button. I'll take my example only, my father is a retired marine engineer, so when he was sailing on a ship we used to write him letters which took many days or sometimes even months to reach him. But with the advent of internet and satellite communication our messages could reach him with a click of a button. It definitely saved us loads of time. This not only saved time but also helped us to stay connected with him all the time. It made him perform better in his work as he was assured that his family was safe and sound at home. Similarly it also made me feel secure that my father is safe and healthy. So faster communication got rid of that anxiety too. Facebook made me reconnect with my long lost school friends. It really helped us to bond and know each other better. Nowadays getting to know about a college, a company or a product is so much easier because of the internet. So this really helps us in making an informed decision. One particular example which I would like to share is that one of my friends who was quite shy got to know about his extrovert side after using Orkut. He found it easier to communicate with people. It helped him breaking the ice. So this Orkut exposure made him comfortable in interacting with people. So this definitely made him more social and thus developed his personality better. In the end I would like to conclude that internet is definitely making it easier to communicate with each other. Many people will say that there is a flip side to it that people are all the time engrossed in their laptops and phones and hardly find time for quality face to face interactions. For that I would like to say that you control the machine and it is not the other way round. A same car can be used to reach from one place to another in a faster way and the same car can be used to hurt or **** people by running over them. So Internet is definitely a boon if we know how to use it for our benefit and for society's benefit at large.

To what extent do to you agree that the Internet is making it easier for people to communicate with one another? _Gagandeep_Singh Many people assets that Internet has shrunk the world by making it easier for them to communicate with each other and has reduced the communication gap between them by bringing them together.In my opinion, Internet provides an effective source of contacting the people by using its facilities like Social websites, where one can interact with others by chatting, video calling, sharing the memories and ideas which can help bring them close to one another eventually. Firstly, an individual can video call their friends where one can call them and can see their face making it look certainly physically present then and there.
