Bihar Assembly Election 2025: NDA Clinches Landslide Victory

The 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections culminated in a landslide victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which secured a commanding 202 out of 243 seats, well above the majority mark of 122. This resounding win marked a major political shift in Bihar and reinforced the alliance's dominance in the region.
The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, closely followed by JD(U) with 85, highlighting the combined strength of the ruling alliance. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD and Congress, managed only 34 seats in total, marking a sharp decline from previous performances.

Bhopal Hosts 22nd All India TDS Conference

Bhopal hosted the 22^nd All India Annual TDS Conference, and brought together top tax administrators from across the country. Organised by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), this annual event served as a critical platform to review policy changes, discuss compliance mechanisms, and explore digital innovations in India's tax ecosystem.
The conference was inaugurated by the Chairman of the CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal.
The conference brought together Principal Chief Commissioners from 18 zones across the country, along with Chief Commissioners, Directors General, Commissioners of Income Tax, and senior TDS officers.

The 6th International Conference on Bacteriophage Research, Antimicrobial Resistance Concludes

The 6^th International Conference on Bacteriophage Research and Antimicrobial Resistance concluded at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi. The two-day event, known as ICBRAR-2025, was organised by the Department of Microbiology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, under the auspices of the Society for Bacteriophage Research and Therapy.
The conference hosted over 250 delegates, researchers, and experts from India and abroad to deliberate on cutting-edge topics, including bacteriophage biology, therapeutic applications, regulatory challenges, and innovative strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance.

Himalayan Conclave 2025

Bringing some of the country's leading scientists, academicians and policymakers together, the Himalayan Conclave 2025 began at the GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE), Kosi-Katarmal, Almora in Uttarakhand.
The three-day event (November 13–15) aims to chart a sustainable path for the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) under the theme 'Indian Himalayan Region—2047: Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Socio-Economic Growth'.
Organised under the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC), the conclave focuses on developing scientific frameworks to achieve Viksit Himalaya–Viksit Bharat 2047, emphasising that the ecological health of the Himalayas is directly linked to India's long-term development goals.
The event was inaugurated by Indra Dutt Bhatt, director- in-charge, GBPNIHE.

New Emblem, New Vision: Maharashtra Unveils Agriculture Logo and Motto

In a symbolic and strategic move, the Maharashtra Agriculture Department unveiled a new logo and slogan, redefining its identity after nearly four decades. The event, held in Mumbai, was led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, marking a renewed commitment to modern and sustainable agriculture practices.
New Slogan: "Sashwat Sheti, Samruddha Shetkari"
(Translation: "Sustainable Farming, Prosperous Farmer")
This slogan was selected through a state-wide public competition that received over 1,700 entries, showcasing public engagement in shaping the state's agricultural future.

Tribal Business Conclave 2025 Concludes

The Tribal Business Conclave 2025 concluded at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, in the esteemed presence of Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey, alongside senior officials from DPIIT, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, industry leaders, investors, and over 250 tribal entrepreneurs from across India.
The event was inaugurated by Minister of State Durgadas Uikey, marking a significant step in advancing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make tribal communities equal partners in the nation's growth journey. Organised jointly by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Culture, the conclave marked a landmark moment during Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The event was supported by FICCI as the Industry Partner and PRAYOGI Foundation as the Knowledge Partner, and TICCI as supporting partner.

India Hosts International Green Hydrogen Conference 2025

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, hosted the 3rd International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) in November at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event saw participation from senior Union Ministers, including Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Food and Public Distribution, and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences.
According to MNRE, the conference featured plenary sessions, expert panels, and technical discussions focused on expanding green hydrogen production and its role in achieving India's net-zero goals. Delegates examined the challenges in scaling up hydrogen technology, financing clean energy infrastructure, and ensuring a secure supply chain for the emerging hydrogen economy.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inaugurates the 'Watershed Mahotsav' in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh

Union Minister for Rural Development, and Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the 'Watershed Mahotsav' in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on November 11, 2025. The event was organised as part of the National Watershed Conference, held from November 10–11, 2025, by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR) under the Ministry of Rural Development, in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Shri Chouhan will arrive in Guntur to formally launch the Mahotsav on the second day of the conference.

S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, Inaugurates 'Cyber Bharat Setu' in Tripura

The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, in collaboration with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, organised the National Cybersecurity Exercise titled 'Cyber Bharat Setu: Bridging States, Securing Bharat'.
The two-day workshop, from November 11 to and 12, 2025 at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, aims to strengthen cyber awareness, readiness, and response capabilities of the State.
The workshop focuses on strengthening cyber resilience through expert-led training, hands-on drills and simulated scenario-based exercises. The event was inaugurated by S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, Government of India.

LS Speaker Birla to Inaugurates CPA India Conference of Northeastern States

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the 22nd Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-III in Kohima, Nagaland, in November 2025.
The two-day conference saw the participation of presiding officers and lawmakers from eight Northeastern states.
"The CPA conference deliberated on ways and means to bring assembly proceedings closer to the people in the context of the changes ushered in by the age of artificial intelligence and the digital revolution," Birla told reporters on his arrival at Dimapur.
The conference also discussed issues such as cloudbursts and landslides in the Northeast region and the mitigation measures in this regard.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and Nagaland Assembly Speaker and Chairman, CPA India Region Zone-III, Sharingain Longkumer were present at the conference.

ICG Organises 23rd National Maritime Search and Rescue Board Meeting in Gandhinagar

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) organised the 23rd National Maritime Search and Rescue (NMSAR) Board meeting in November 2025 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The meeting focused on enhancing inter-agency coordination and collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen India's overall search and rescue (SAR) framework. Discussions centred on leveraging technology and modern communication systems to improve operational efficiency and maritime safety standards.
National SAR awards for the year 2023-24 were also presented during the meeting. Following are the awards:
- MV He Yuan Shun 89, a Panama-flagged vessel, received the award in the Merchant Vessel category
- Indian Fishing Boat Kedarnath Bhole was awarded in the Fishing Boat category
- ICG Ship Rajveer received the award for the Government-owned SAR Unit category
- Vessel Traffic System (VTS), Mumbai Port Authority and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) were jointly felicitated in the Ashore Unit category.
