Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Goa government's flagship welfare programme 'Mhaje Ghar' Yojana at a function held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao.
The scheme aims to regularise houses built on government and community lands and to grant ownership rights to long-time residents. He also inaugurated projects worth more than Rs. 2,452 crore.
Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Mhaje Ghar' Yojana in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State Shripad Naik, and Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate, among other dignitaries.
The Union Home Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several major infrastructure projects across the state. These include redevelopment of Junta House, government quarters at St Inez, construction of a new circuit house at Altinho, and development of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum at Farmagudi.

NITI Aayog Launches Tax Policy Working Paper to Boost Foreign Investment
NITI Aayog launched the first paper under its Tax Policy Working Paper Series, in October 2025. The paper focuses on improving tax certainty, attracting more foreign investment and bringing more transparency in permanent establishment and profit attribution for foreign investors in India. Addressing the Media, NITI Aayog, CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said that the objective of the paper is to introduce an Optional Presumptive Taxation Scheme that offers a simpler and more predictable way for foreign companies to pay taxes.

Government Hikes Minimum Support Prices for Rabi Crops
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved a significant Minimum Support Price (MSP) hike for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2026 27 marketing season. Maharashtra Govt Approves GCC Policy To Create 4 Lakh High Skilled Jobs
The Maharashtra Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in September 2025, approved the Global Capability Centre (GCC) policy to establish the state as a leading hub of GCCs in the country leveraging its diverse industrial base, financial leadership and technological expertise.
The policy proposes to establish 400 new GCCs, create four lakh high skilled jobs by integrating industry driven curricula, fostering cutting edge research, and equipping the workforce with advanced digital and technical skills.
It aims to promote GCC-led research, foster multinational collaborations, attract high value and knowledge intensive investments, develop world class business districts and a robust digital data bank.
The policy aims to propel tier-2 and tier-3 cities such as Nashik, Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar into the global GCC landscape, creating new economic hubs and fostering balanced technology driven growth.
The policy will remain in effect for five years (Financial Year 2029-30) from the date of notification or until the next policy comes into effect.

PM Modi to Launch Bihar's Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the "Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojna" from New Delhi via video conferencing.
Bihar government said the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme will help make women self-reliant and empowered. Under this scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred 10,000 rupees directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts via DBT through video conferencing. This scheme is considered very significant ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
The government believes that empowering women will help stop migration from the state and make Bihar self-reliant. Under it, the resolve of "Empowered Women, Prosperous Bihar" will be fulfilled in both rural and urban areas. It will be implemented through Self Help Groups. Around one crore 10 lakh applications have been submitted to avail the benefit.
The first instalment of 10,000 rupees transferred to the accounts of 75 lakh women. This initiative is being launched as part of a series of welfare measures for women under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
