Textbooks in Indian Languages under Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme

Government Approves Mutual Credit Guarantee Scheme to Strengthen MSME Manufacturing Sector

  • The Government of India approved introduction of Mutual Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs (MCGS- MSME) for providing 60% guarantee coverage by National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited (NCGTC) to Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) for credit facility up to Rs. 100 crore sanctioned to eligible MSMEs under MCGS-MSME for purchase of equipment/machinery.

Hands-on Training Workshop on e-SAKSHI Portal for New Fund Flow Procedure under MPLAD Scheme

  • The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) conducted a hands-on training workshop on the e-SAKSHI Portal in New Delhi. The workshop, held at the Constitution Club of India, focused on the new fund flow procedure under the MPLAD Scheme.
  • Puja Singh Mandol, Additional Secretary of MoSPI, opened the workshop. Participants included representatives from the Haryana State Government, including the State Nodal Authority, officials from all 22 districts, and representatives from various implementing agencies. The MPLADS Division provided extensive training on the new fund flow procedure under the MPLAD Scheme, focusing on the functionality of the e-SAKSHI Portal.
  • The workshop aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilise the e-SAKSHI Portal. The training hoped to empower state government officials to navigate and use the e-SAKSHI Portal effectively.

  • Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Annpurna Devi jointly inaugurated the 10 years anniversary celebration of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Savitri Thakurwas also present at the event. The day signified a decade of continuous efforts to protect, educate, and empower the girl child in India.
  • In his special address, highlighting the milestone of completion of 10 years of the Scheme, Nadda stated that "on this day in 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme from Panipat, Haryana as a collaborative effort of the Ministries of Women & Child Development, Education, and Health & Family Welfare with the objectives of addressing declining child sex ratio, preventing female foeticide, and promoting the education and empowerment of girls.

Chhattisgarh CM Launches Rs. 10K Annual Aid Scheme for Labourers

  • Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched a scheme to provide Rs. 10,000 a year financial assistance to landless farm labourers, and said that the measure will augment their net income and secure their own future.
  • More than 5.62 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under the scheme titled, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana, which besides landless farm labourers, also covers a host of financially vulnerable social groups.
  • Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 annually will be given to landless farm labourers (in a single instalment), declared the CM.
