Indian Air Force Concludes Exercise MahaGujRaj-25 (MGR-25)

In pursuit of operational excellence & joint preparedness, Indian Air Force conducted Exercise MahaGujRaj-25 (MGR-25) from October 28 to November 11, 2025 in the Western Sector.
The exercise validated the IAF's ability to deliver across the full spectrum of air operations from Air Campaigns to Maritime & Air-Land missions.

Indian Army Concludes 'Exercise Maru Jwala' in Jaisalmer as Part of 'Trishul' Drill

The Indian Army's Southern Command conducted 'Exercise Maru Jwala' in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, as part of the ongoing tri-services 'Trishul' drill, showcasing the preparedness and coordination of its elite units.
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, described the exercise as a crucial phase of the overall Trishul operations.
The exercise brought together key units of the Southern Command. Exercise Maru Jwala is a very important part of the overall Exercise Trishul, which is a tri-service exercise.

India and Vietnam Signs MoU on Mutual Submarine Search and Rescue Cooperation

In a significant step towards strengthening bilateral defence relations, India and Vietnam on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Mutual Submarine Search, Rescue Support and Cooperation on the sidelines of the 15th India–Vietnam Defence Policy Dialogue (DPD).
The DPD, co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, was held in Hanoi.

India-Sri Lanka Joint Military Exercise Begins in Belagavi

The eleventh edition of the joint military exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025 between India and Sri Lanka began November 10, 2025 at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi, Karnataka. The exercise will conclude on November 23.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Indian contingent of 170 personnel is represented mainly by troops from the Rajput Regiment, while the Sri Lankan contingent of 135 personnel comprises troops primarily from the Gajaba Regiment. In addition, 20 personnel from the Indian Air Force and 10 personnel from the Sri Lankan Air Force are participating in the exercise.
The aim of the exercise is to jointly rehearse the conduct of sub-conventional operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations mandate, with a focus on enhancing interoperability in counter-terrorist operations. The training curriculum includes raid and search missions, heliborne operations, search-and-destroy tasks, Army Martial Arts Routine (AMAR), combat reflex shooting and yoga, the Ministry said.
The exercise integrates the employment of drones, counter-unmanned aerial systems and helicopters. Joint drills will include securing helipads and conducting casualty evacuation under operational conditions. The collective effort aims to enhance coordination between personnel of both armies in peacekeeping and counter-terror scenarios.

Assam Rifles, Rudram Dynamics Foundation Sign MoU to Boost Academics, Research of Personnel

The Assam Rifles signed an MoU with the Rudram Dynamics Foundation (RDF) to jointly promote academics, research, training and online education for its personnel.
The agreement was signed at the Assam Rifles headquarters at Laitkor.
The partnership seeks to synergise the expertise of both organisations to foster research-oriented learning, innovation and capacity building, while also aligning military training with civil education standards.

IAF Marks 93rd Anniversary with Grand Air Show Over Brahmaputra in Guwahati

The Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated its 93rd anniversary with a spectacular flying display over the Brahmaputra at Lachit Ghat — the first-ever full-scale air show in the Guwahati.Thousands gathered along the ghat and nearby roads to witness the display organised by the Eastern Air Command, showcasing the IAF's formidable fleet of helicopters, transport aircraft and fighter jets.

In a post on X, The IAF said that in line with the theme "Infallible, Impervious & Precise," the skies were filled with thrilling formations featuring the Su-30, Rafale, Tejas, Mirage, MiG-29, Jaguar, Hawk, Apache, Mi-17, C-295, C-130, C-17, IL-78, AN-32, AEW&C, Dornier and the vintage Harvard aircraft. The Harvard, Sukhoi-30 and Rafale enthralled the crowd with breathtaking low-level aerobatics.
The event, witnessed by 48 foreign service attachés and dignitaries, was attended by Assam governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Air Marshal Surat Singh, and senior officers of the IAF and state government.
The celebrations began with a stirring performance by the IAF Band, setting the tone for an afternoon of precision and pride. The Sarang Helicopter Display Team mesmerised the audience with synchronised manoeuvres, followed by stunning aerial displays from other formations.
The show culminated in a breathtaking sequence by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and a flawless performance by the Air Warrior Drill Team, earning thunderous applause from spectators. The IAF described the event as "a magnificent celebration of the spirit of the Northeast and the indomitable valour of the men and women in blue."

US Test-Fires 'Minuteman III' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

The United States fired an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) nearly a week after President Donald Trump ordered the Pentagon to immediately restart the process for testing nuclear weapons.
The Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) conducted the test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III ICBM from the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The unarmed rocket landed near the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site in the Marshall Islands.
The test, designated GT 254, evaluated the ongoing reliability, operational readiness, and accuracy of the ICBM system.

Indian Navy Commissions 'Ikshak'

The Indian Navy enhanced its hydrographic survey capabilities with the commissioning of Ikshak, the third ship of the Survey Vessel (Large) [SVL] class and the first to be based at the Southern Naval Command.
The ship was formally commissioned into service in the presence of Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, at a ceremony at Naval Base, Kochi.
Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd, Kolkata, Ikshak stands as a shining example of India's growing self-reliance in shipbuilding.

India and Israel Sign MoU to Expand Scope of Bilateral Defence Ties

India and Israel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand the scope of bilateral defence ties between the two nations. The MoU was exchanged at the 17th meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on defence cooperation between India and Israel was held in Tel Aviv.
The meeting was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence Major General Amir Baram. During the meeting, the agreement will provide a unified vision and policy direction to deepen the already strong defence cooperation between the two countries. This will enable the sharing of advanced tech and promote co-development and co-production.
