Asian Institute of Medical Sciences Honoured as Best Healthcare Brand 2025 by The Economic Times

The Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, a super-speciality hospital with a strong focus on advanced medical care, including 3D robotic surgery and a wide range of super specialities, was named the Best Healthcare Brand 2025 by ET Now - The Economic Times Group.
Dr. Ajeet Madhavrao Gopchade, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha presented the award to the Asian Hospital at the ET Now Best Brands Conclave for its role in shaping the future of healthcare in India. Asian was recognised for its technology-driven treatment and consistent clinical excellence.

PM Modi Conferred Ghana's National Honour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with 'The Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana', the nation's national honour, in recognition of his distinguished statesmanship and influential global leadership by President John Dramani Mahama during his official visit to the West African country.
Modi said that the award was not merely a personal achievement, but a tribute to the 140 crore people of India. He dedicated the honour to the country's youth, its vibrant cultural heritage, and the enduring ties between India and Ghana.

Professor Pinaki Talukdar Bags Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha award for Chemistry Research

Professor Pinaki Talukdar, a faculty member from the Department of Chemistry at IISER Pune, was chosen for the Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha (CRS) Silver Star Medal. This award is given to scientists whose research in chemical sciences shows clear innovation and real-world impact.
The Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha, based at Vidyasagar University Campus in Midnapore, West Bengal, aims to support chemical science education and research.
Every year, it honours top researchers across India and brings them together for its signature symposium to share ideas and discoveries.

Kerala Sahitya Akademi Announces 2024 Literary Award Winners

The Kerala Sahitya Akademi announced the winners of its 2024 literary awards, recognising both emerging and established voices in Malayalam literature.
Writer G. R. Indugopan won the award for best novel for his work "Aano", while poet Anitha Thampi received the poetry award for her collection "Muringa Vazha Kariveppu".
V. Shinilal was honoured in the short story category for his work "Garisappa Aruvi Athava Oru Jalayathra".
Veteran authors K. V. Ramakrishnan and Ezhacheri Ramachandran won the prestigious Akademi Fellowship and Lifetime Contribution Award, respectively in recognition of their significant and lasting impact on Malayalam literature.
