HC Chief Justice Malimath Inaugurates Live Audio-video Streaming System for Courts in MP
Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Ravi Malimath inaugurated an integrated video surveillance mechanism and live audio-visual streaming system for district and tehsil courts across the state.
For the first time in India, a High Court has set up a system for live streaming of proceedings for all district and tehsil courts in a state.
The HC initiated the Integrated Video Surveillance System (IVSS) and Courtroom Live Audio Visual Streaming System (CLASS). The project enables live streaming of courtrooms at 210 complexes under the MP's High Court.

Yeshwanth Shenoy is President of Kerala High Court Advocates' Association
Advocate Yeshwanth Shenoy was elected the President of the Kerala High Court Advocates' Association (KHCAA).
Shenoy secured 1,147 votes inching out the closest candidate advocate K. B. Pradeep by 84 votes.

Delhi High Court Forms Committee to Monitor Requirement and Recruitment of Public Prosecutors
The Delhi High Court constituted a monitoring committee to periodically review the recruitment and requirement of public prosecutors and additional public prosecutors in the trial courts of Delhi.
A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Mini Pushkarna said that the Committee has Delhi government's secretaries of Home, Law and Justice, Finance as well as Director, Directorate of Prosecution, Senior Advocate Rajiv K. Virmani (amicus curiae in the case) and a representative of the Delhi High Court as its members.
The committee has been tasked with conducting periodic reviews of requirements of prosecutors in the trial courts and making recommendations to the Delhi government with respect to vacancies of prosecutors.

The Delhi High Court Bar Association with Live4Freedom LLP organised first edition of 'Fight for Justice Awards 2023' to honour litigants who have won cases resulting in landmark judgments.
Former Chief Justice of India, Justice N.V. Ramana, was the Chief Guest of the event which will be held annually.
Justice Ramana was joined by Delhi High Court Bar Association's President, Senior Advocate Mohit Mathur; Vice President, Advocate Jatan Singh and Hony.
Awardees of the first Fight for Justice Awards, 2023 are as follows: Criminal Cases Category: Asha Devi (Mother of Nirbhaya who was gang raped in 2012), Women Cases Category: Shayara Bano (woman who fought the case against the practice of triple talaq), Administration and Governance Cases Category: Commander Annie Nagaraja and Commander Priya Khurana (women who fought case regarding permanent commission to female officers of armed forces in India), Labour Cases Category: Bezwada Wilson (Indian activist and one of the founders and National Convenor of the Safai Karmachari Andolan who fought for rights of manual scavengers) and others.
The nominees for the eight categories were shortlisted through a rigorous process by a team of legal researchers comprising of Ananya Khanna (Law Researcher a/w Justice Siddharth Mridul) High Court, Aehsas Puri (Law Researcher a/w Justice Hima Kohli), Siddharth Singh (Independent Counsel), Abhishek Budhiraja (Law Researcher a/w former Justice Poonam A Bamba) and Rohit Sharma (Independent Counsel).
The eight categories are: Criminal Cases Category, Women Cases Category, Administration and Governance Cases Category, Labour Cases Category, Environmental Cases Category, Specially Abled Person Cases Category, Child Rights Cases Category and Lifetime Achievement Category.

Delhi Riots Cases: Amit Prasad Resigns as Special Public Prosecutor
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Amit Prasad, who had been appearing for Delhi Police in the Delhi Riots 2020 cases, resigned from his role as the special public prosecutor (SPP).
As SPP, Amit Prasad was the face of the prosecution in the Delhi Riots matters and had argued in the much-highlighted conspiracy case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the murder case of Akbari Begum and the Sedition case against Sharjeel Imam.
Prasad was also appointed as SPP in the Shraddha Walkar murder case for which he will continue to appear.
Vikas Malik is President of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association
Advocate Vikas Malik won the president's post in the election held for the executive body of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association by clinching 1,536 votes. Malik defeated Onkar Singh Batalvi by 688 votes.
For the post of vice-president, Jasdev Singh Brar was elected with 1,618 votes and for the post of secretary, Swaran Singh Tiwana won by securing 2,142 votes. Parveen Dahiya was elected as joint secretary by securing 1,604 votes. The post of treasurer was won by Sunny Namdev, who polled the highest 2,673 votes.
Advocate Rohit Khullar was elected as the new president of the Chandigarh District Bar Association (DBA) in the elections held at District Courts Complex, Sector 43.
Chandan Sharma was elected as vice-president by bagging 867 votes and Parminder Singh secretary with 402 votes. The post of joint secretary went to Simranjit Kaur, who got 978 votes, while Vijay Kumar was elected as treasurer with 1,095 votes.
