The 15th International Sufi Rang Festival 2022 in Ajmer
The 15th International Sufi Rang Festival 2022 began in Ajmer. This event has been organised and planned by Haji Syed Salman, Chairman of Chishty Foundation, an Ajmer Sharif-based organisation. The festival will culminate on October 7.
The annual International Sufi Festival India (ISFI) is a commemorative fiesta in honour of the Sufi Saint, Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. Held yearly in Ajmer, the ISFI festival, remembers the teachings of Sufi Saint Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. The crux of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty's teaching talks about the union of the human soul with the Ultimate (God) through the medium of Sufi music. As a result, music and dance acts abound during this enormous festival.
ISFI had launched the country's first International Sufi Film Festival as part of the festival to promote and offer a platform for Sufi film makers.

ASI to Seek World Heritage Status for Barabar and Nagarjuni Caves in Bihar
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) decided to propose the Barabar and Nagarjuni caves in Bihar's Jehanabad district for inclusion in the tentative list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
These are considered to be the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India dating back to the Maurya period.
The Barabar Hills, located in the Makhdumpur region, embrace the cluster of four caves, together called Barabar caves. These are known as 'Lomas Rishi', 'Sudama', 'Vishwakarma' and 'Karan Chaupar' caves.
The Nagarjuni Hills comprising three caves are around two kilometre from Barabar.
