World Physical Therapy Day is observed globally on September 8 every year in order to raise awareness about the contribution of physiotherapists in healthcare and encourage people to be physically active and ensure good overall health. Every year a different theme is followed to generate awareness of the topic, and the theme for World Physical Therapy Day 2022 was 'Osteoarthritis'.
World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) founded World Physical Therapy Day on 8 September, 1996. This is the same day on which WCPT was founded in 1951.
International Literacy Day
International Literacy Day recognised by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is observed on September 8, every year. Since 1967, this day has been observed to remind the world about the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity, and human rights and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society.
The concept of International Literacy Day emerged at the World Conference of Ministers of Education held in Tehran in 1965. To address the global problem of illiteracy, on 26 October 1966, UNESCO declared September 8 as International Literacy Day.
The theme for International Literacy Day 2022 was 'Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces'.

Independence Day of Brazil
The Independence Day of Brazil commonly called Sete de Setembro, is a national holiday observed in Brazil on 7 September of every year. The date celebrates Brazil's Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves on 7 September 1822.
On 2 September 1822, a new decree with Lisbon's demands arrived in Rio de Janeiro, while Prince Pedro was in São Paulo. Princess Maria Leopoldina, acting as Princess Regent, met with the Council of Ministers and decided to send her husband a letter advising him to proclaim Brazil's independence. The letter reached Prince Pedro on 7 September 1822. That same day, in a famous scene at the shore of the Ipiranga River, he declared the country's independence, ending 322 years of colonial dominance of Portugal over Brazil.

India to observe National Cinema Day on September 16
India will celebrate National Cinema Day on September 16. Announced by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI), the event will take place across 4,000 screens in the country. Tickets will be priced at Rs. 75 in all the participating cinemas.
The day is being organised as a "thank you" to the moviegoers.

Telangana Govt. to Observe Sept 17 as Integration Day
Telangana government decided to observe September 17 as Telangana National Integration Day. September 17 is the day erstwhile Hyderabad State under Nizam rule merged with the Indian Union in 1948.
On September 17, KCR, as Rao is also known, would hoist the national flag in a public garden and address the people while the Ministers and other public representatives would do the same at their respective centres.
International Day of Charity
The International Day of Charity is observed on September 5, as declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012. It was established with the aim of sensitising people, NGOs, and stakeholders to help those in need by participating in philanthropic activities. Doing so would create social bonding.
The date, September 5 was chosen to commemorate the death anniversary of Mother Teresa. She received Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for "work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace."
Teachers' Day (India)

Teachers' Day marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Born on September 5, 1888, Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Vice-President of India and the second President of India. Dr. Radhakrishnan is well-known for his notable work as a teacher, philosopher and scholar. Since 1962, September 5 has been celebrated as Teachers' Day in India to honour Dr. Radhakrishnan's remarkable approach toward education and students.
The theme for Teachers' Day 2022 was 'Leading in crisis, reimaging the future.'
