Lovlina Borgohain Face of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance's New Digital Campaign

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance will launch its new digital campaign Agar taiyaari sahi ho, toh jeet pakki hai, featuring Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain. The campaign talks about being prepared for challenges that life throws up.
The campaign aims to reinforce that being prepared in life and planning at the right time is essential to defeat adversities and achieve life goals. "We support women in maximising their potential in every sphere of life and also in enabling their financial independence, autonomy and supporting their families.

Ex-GITAM Chancellor, Academician Ramakrishna Rao Passes Away

Noted academician and former chancellor of GITAM deemed to be University Koneru Ramakrishna Rao passed away at the age of 89. He was an internationally-recognised psychologist, Gandhian scholar and educator, and received Padma Shri in 2011.
He served as the vice-chancellor of Andhra University, executive director of Foundation for Research on the Nature of Man, USA, chairman of AP State Council of Higher Education, and education advisor to the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Ramakrishna Rao also served as the chairman of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research.

Bandhan Bank Names Zubeen Garg as Brand Ambassador for Assam

Bandhan Bank announced Popular Assamese & Bollywood singer Zubeen Garg as the brand ambassador for the Bank in Assam. This association is a landmark one for Bandhan Bank as this is the first time ever that the bank has associated with a brand ambassador since its inception six years back.
To mark the commencement of this association, Zubeen released his new music video which showcases diverse elements of Assamese culture and heritage. The song and video have been produced courtesy of Bandhan Bank. Titled 'Axom Amaar Mone Praane," the song is a melodious blend of the different kinds of folk music native to Assam.

Founder of Ideal Ice Creams Prabhakar Kamath Dies

Prabhakar Kamath, founder of the Ideal Ice Creams died. He was 79.
He founded Ideal in 1975 that went on to earn fame and recognition and grew as one of the popular ice cream brands across the country. Ideal has five parlours in the city and its products are available in retail outlets in three states.

Subrata Mukherjee, West Bengal Panchayat Minister Dies

Senior Trinamool Congress leader Subrata Mukherjee died after prolonged illness at a state-run hospital in Kolkata.
Mukherjee, who was the State Panchayat Minister, was 75.
A seasoned politician in its truest sense, Mukherjee started his political career as a student activist during his higher education in Kolkata when he joined the Chhatra Parishad in the 1960s. During this period he made the acquaintance of late Congress leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.
