The Rajasthan government's India Mahila Shakti Udhyam Protsahan Yojana became popular among women wanting to become entrepreneurs. Under the scheme, the state government is providing loans of up to Rs. 1 crore to women. This is for those who want to start their own enterprises and self-help groups (SHGs).
Besides, a subsidy of a maximum 30 per cent is also given on the loans. The state government wants to empower women and make them self-reliant through this initiative.
The scheme was started in 2019, and till now, 1,141 women entrepreneurs, SHGs and clusters have been sanctioned loans of more than Rs. 57.60 crore in urban and rural areas.

Upper Bhadra Scheme to be State's First National Project: Karnataka CM
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the Upper Bhadra Scheme will become the state's first national project.
He said that this scheme got the approval of the PIB and the Union Jal Shakti Minister has been requested to get it passed in the Union Cabinet.
Once the approval comes through, the grants will come to start the work. All efforts are being done in this regard as the Upper Bhadra is set to become the state's national project. Rail connectivity to Chitradurga via Tumkur, Davangere would be started.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena launched a one-time property tax amnesty scheme "SAMRIDDHI 2022-23", saying it will provide a major relief to lakhs of residential and commercial property owners in the city.
SAMRIDDHI, an acronym for Strengthening and Augmentation of Municipal Revenue for Infrastructure Development in Delhi, will start on October 26 and end on March 31, 2023, with no further extensions.
Under the scheme, residential property owners can pay just the principal property tax amount of the current and of the past five years. For commercial properties, owners can pay the principal amount case of the last six years and get a waiver on past pending dues, including penalty and interest.
Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal launched "Main Bhi Subhash'' campaign from Leh. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose-INA Trust in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture is organizing a series of events on the occasion of Netaji's 125th Birth Anniversary on January 23, 2023.
Namgyal also inaugurated an exhibition on Netaji at Boys Higher Secondary School in Leh. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Main Bhi Subhash campaign in every nook and corner will create awareness of Netaji's contribution in the freedom fight.
Suchi Chakraborty of INA Trust said that the Main Bhi Subhash campaigns begin from Mumbai and Kolkata simultaneously as well.

'One Nation, One Fertiliser' Plan Launched under 'Bharat' Brand
The "one nation, one fertiliser" scheme would make quality fertiliser available to farmers at a reduced price, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after launching the scheme at the inaugural function of the two-day "Kisan Samman Sammelan" at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI).
Now, urea will be available under the same name, same brand and same quality, and that brand is "Bharat."
The Prime Minister also accused previous governments of not taking an initiative to reopen public sector factories that manufactured urea.
The Prime Minister noted that selling urea on the black market was stopped by introducing measures such as neem-coated urea.
Outlining another new measure rolled out to reform the fertiliser sector, the Prime Minister said a drive had been launched to develop more than 3.25 lakh fertiliser shops across the country.
These will be called the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras, where fertilisers and seeds will be sold. Farmers can also get soil tested and avail information about farming techniques at the kendras.

Tamil Nadu is the Only State to Achieve Jal Jeevan Mission Target for 2022 Q1 and Q2
Tamil Nadu emerged as the only state which achieved the target for 2022 Q1 and Q2 for Jal Jeevan Mission, with 69.57 lakh households provided with tap connections till date, according to official data.
Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited Chennai and reviewed the progress of work pertaining to Jal Jeevan Mission for assured potable tap water supply to every rural household by 2024, in the presence of Municipal Administration and Water Supply Minister K.N. Nehru.
Of the 1.25 crore households in Tamil Nadu, 69.57 lakh households received tap connections till date. The percentage of households (55.63%) with tap connections in Tamil Nadu is higher than the national average of 53.96%. The target set by the Union government for Q1 and Q2 for 2022 was 12.1 lakh tap connections in Tamil Nadu. However, the State has provided 16.25 lakh tap connections, registering 134% of the target. The target set for 2022-2023 in the State is 28.48 lakh tap connections.
Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio Launches Universal Health Insurance Scheme
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched a universal health insurance scheme for the people of the state.
The Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme (CHIS) would be implemented in convergence with the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Centre.
National Health Authority CEO R.S. Sharma was present virtually at the programme in which the scheme was unveiled.
The aim of the scheme is to alleviate financial hardships due to hospitalisation expenses and prevent inaccessibility to healthcare on account of inability to afford it.
The scheme has been categorised into CMHIS Employees and Pensioners (EP), and CMHIS (General).
